Beth, yes I learned something new. But I always try to go the least expensive route first. Sometimes the fix is incredibly simple and I hate to pay for that. As it turns out, I could have replaced it myself but without the thingamajiggy to measure the thermister's output, I wouldn't have known for sure that it was the problem. In hindsight, it would have been pretty cheap to just replace it myself and hope for the best. As it was, I paid the price for the "expert" to come to my rig and do it.
