It's right next door to Natural Bridge Caverns which is between IH35 and 281 just north of San Antonio.

There's a couple of wildlife parks - one is at Fossil Rim and the other is north of San Antonio not too far from Guadalupe River SP - Serengeti Resort. And the one you may be thinking of is Natural Bridge Wildlife Center near the caverns.

I think the Kerrville/F'burg area is an awesome choice! ;) There is also Bandera and Luckenbach if you haven't been there already. When are you planning on coming?

Don't forget the TX Stonehenge - I did laugh - but it's worth taking a look at. Kind of lolol Otherwise, I can't think of anything they haven't said. If I do - promise to ring back in.

Thanks for asking the question and for all the suggestions, as I too will most likely be traveling around Texas for a bit this summer.

Wildflowers are beautiful in the Hill Country in April.

LOL Bethers! How on earth could I forget Stonehenge? It's a must see! hahaha

Paulette, would love to see you again! Come on over! ;)

Hope you both can come before I leave for the summer the end of June. But if not, Karen is a great travel guide, and I'm sure she will make sure you see all the sites! :)

Unfortunately I won't get there till around the first of July. Gd has school and we are doing a week at the beach with our BFF's before we head west. So wish I could travel along to Alaska with you all! Another year maybe...looks like I will be s&b bound for at least 5 more years. But it is for a worthy cause (raising the gd) so I won't complain!
