-Wake Up!!!!

Wake Up!!! The Foldgers Classic Roast full brew just finished and is steaming hot. The cups are on the counter. I also fixed some pigs in a blanket for breakfast if anyone wants some. I also got out the mustard.

It is only two days till Thanksgiving. It is hump day for those working a 3 day week this week. Grab a cup of coffee and some goodies and enjoy!!!

Thanks for the coffee, Fernie, nice and strong, too....Have Orange rolls here to add to the goodies.. ;)

I'm up early to go fishing this morning.....Ernie's found a calender that states that between 6:22am and 10:30am the fishing is the best....so all 4 of us are going to do some morning fishing..... I see a nap scheduled for this afternoon.... ;)

Okay, got a refill on the coffee, so now I'll go read what's going on with all of you....

Have a great day, all..............

Ohboy,.. orange rolls! You are the best Lori,... and you too Fernie for having the coffee ready when i jumped out of the shower!

Well, we finally got about an inch (maybe not quite that much) of sloppy snow here in the Champlain Valley. I'm getting four new tires tomorrow so I'm glad winter has waited for me and not hit me too hard yet.

We will be out of school at 1 p.m. today so that gives us nearly a week for Thanksgiving ... have to go back next Monday. I'm looking forward to seeing my DGS who will be home from college,... have only seen him once since August.

Have a great day gals!

Good morning all!

I've decided I will NOT be the first one to log in here in the mornings.....no one likes my coffee, and I don't eat anything in the mornings. As someone has said in the past, I am way too literal to try to role play in here! I also feel as if I am not fulfilling someone named Barbzee's shoes.....makes my day start off with me feeling like a poop! So.....I shall be perfectly happy to check in later with my own preferred coffee, my own literal brain, spewing forth only blatant truth, or truth as I see it, anyway!

Light snow here, but too warm for my liking....above freezing. Bad winds forecast for later in the day, so hope I don't lose power while I am at school....house would be VERY cold when I get home if that happens!

About time you got some snow on that side of the mountains, Cedar!! Glad your darn good son will be coming home, too! I wish my son were coming home!

Have a great day, you all, no matter what you plan to do!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Coffee yes, pigs in the blanket? Nope and I don't think I had better get into the orange rolls either? My tummy doesn't feel quite up to it this morning, it's kinda a little off itself this morning. I sure hope I'm not coming down with something I've caught up there in the germ factory that I work in. I will not be amused!!!

It's not really a hump day for us, we have Thursday off but not Friday. And the trickle down rumor thing says that we might have to work all day Friday which would be our regular day off for this week. I'm so hoping that's not true!!! I honestly don't know how some of the people up there work like this all the time. Some of them end up with over 130hrs of overtime every paycheck. Good gosh, when does that leave them time for anything else? New gal sat next to me yesterday and asked when the overtime will let up? We tried to explain it to her. She got the most horrified look on her face, then I thought she was gonna cry! Said she couldn't put in hours like that all the time, said she had kids, that the day care closed at 6pm and that there was no one else that could watch them that much. She really got upset about it as she is a single mom, her X is off somewhere and her Mom isn't able to cope with the picking up of kids from daycare everyday and babysitting. She said she was so happy to have found the job when she did but that now she didn't know what she was gonna do? I felt really bad for her.

OH YUM I am so looking forward to Thursday!!!! Not the cooking or cleaning up part. But the eating part. hehehe Gonna be interesting to see who can drag themselves to the puter after their Thanksgiving meal!!!!

Ok gonna get around and ready for work so this is the end of me! :D

Hope everyone has a great day and stays safe!!!

Love to all

(would someone pour me another cup of coffee? i really don't want to move right this very minute)

Hey Soos? I don't know about anyone else? But if I'm gonna have flavored coffee I save it for later. Especially around the campfire when I stop by with my coffee and it's flavored with Baileys Irish Cream or maybe some Kahlua and whipped cream. I do have some Jack Daniels flavored coffee that I will be getting into soon. LOL Oh and I sometimes keep some Amaretto flavored creamer in the cupboard. Only time I ever use creamer. Think maybe I have a theme going on here???? 8-) But for us die hards it's full flavored and strong!!!

And trust me on this. No matter how any one of us might try there's no one like Barbz. We can't fill them shoes! Only fill in for her until she's up and running full steam ahead again.

Miss ya bunches Barbs.

I'm up and barely moving since 6am. Would love to have some of your coffee, but DH was up even earlier and fixed a pot. And i don't want to discourage that type of behavior :D . He also volunteered to do the turkey, gravy and stuffing/dressing this year. You noticed I said "he", so that means I can sit around and lollygag on Thursday and just offer my advice  Got to get my b---moving. I agreed to substitute in a tennis tourney this am. Have a great day.

Soos, the fun play we do in here is just that. It is just touching some of the kid in us. I could talk about Bash vomiting all weekend and having the runs yesterday and all the stuff that isn't pleasant but I don't think anyone wants to read that although it is the "real" world we deal with on a daily basis. It is a lot more pleasant to just stop in and have a virtual cup of coffee and start the day with a smile then go off to deal with the less pleasant things in our lives. By the way, Bash is feeling better today.

Good morning all you early birds! It's 8:16 (I've been awake since 6!) and only 40* in TX. This will probably be the coldest morning this week. By Txgiving Day they are forecasting back into the 80s! No rain though. Very much a drought here. I'm headed out to local park for a 3mile or so walk/run, will try to mix in some racewalking. Tonight is a HOA meeting, I was shocked to learn they voted a 20% increase in our monthly rate. NO communication before hand. Yikes. The last meeting I attended no homeowners showed up, it will be interesting to see how many attend tonight. That's all for now. Byeee

Good morning ladies !
Orange rolls !!??!! I haven't had an orange roll in forever ! I have to get one of those babies :D Thanks !!!!
It's still dark here but doesn't feel too cold - I didn't see any stars in the sky so presume it'll be cloudy at least this A.M. -- not sure what I'll be doing today but I can tell I'm a little cranky so I may just hunker down and do nothing - don't want to "infect" others !
Enjoy your day

LOL - I don't drink any coffee - but I still join in the morning coffee group on occasion - just because I can't help myself :)

Janice, I wish I could do that - have been working since 6 - on my way back now. Ran in to check on the coffee post - will read the rest of the board later.

Cold here also - windy, too - can't imagine the fishing Lori, Ernie and friends were doing this morning. They are heartier stock than me :)

Later all - and have a great day.

Hi all.....I'm at school now, and will add a note to my morning message.

I know that you all enjoy being silly and frivolous and funny and frilly and acty in the mornings on here, and I don't mean to begrudge any of you that fun time.....it's wonderful to experience! Heavens knows I didn't mean to put down any of that behavior----but, rather, tried to explain and apologize for my reluctance or inability to act that way! It's not you all---it's my problem....I simply will pass on it.

And I didn't mean that I always have to be ALL-INCLUSIVE when I talk to others.....heaven knows there's a bunch of stuff I would never want to share at the breakfast table, or anywhere else, for that matter! I guess I am just trying to explain my own inabilities to 'act'----I've just never mastered that wonderful, playful trait many of you have and can share with each other. I am actually very envious of that ability, I guess. I will be SO happy when Barbzee gets back in here so I can see how she runs her kitchen. Obviously, I am a failure at even attempting it!

In the meantime, I will check in with a 'good morning' and a cup of my favorite coffee, if you will forgive my staidness and plainness. I live alone, have lived alone for years, and share nothing with anybody other than Molly, my dog. Perhaps I can learn to be as 'playful' with two-footers as I am with my 4-footer!

Good morning Ladies (and gents) Wow hre in Vegas in Pacific Time my getting up early is everyone elses almost noon. It gets light here early and is dark by 4:30 guess cause we are on the eastern edge of the time zone. Went driving out in the desert yesterday, will post pictures later. Got new tires on the jeep so they had to be tried out. Unfortunalely we had just washed the jeep too. Now it has a fine red film. Oh well. the tires are happy. Also had the motorhome washed and waxed by the guys who alway used to do it for us when we lived here. Looks great but tonight it is supposed to rain. Had dinner with our youngest (38) son and wife the night we got here. Where we went to eat in a great big shopping center was just a muddy desert when we left a little over 1 1/2 years ago. Amazing town. Have a good lunch and rest of day.
