SATURDAY AFTER SOME RAIN

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SATURDAY AFTER SOME RAIN

Postby Nasoosie » Sat Feb 11, 2012 9:07 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

This Orlando area is expected to get down into the 30s tonight, following the rainstorm we had last evening. The rain was very welcome, but this cooler air is not!

My son and daugher-in-law will be going to Sea World's first Bands, Brew, and BBque this evening. A group named Foreigner is playing----anybody know anything about them? Kenny Rogers will be coming on the 19th----I can't wait to hear and see him!

Laundry going this morning, followed by a bath, and then just wait for my kids!

Coffee is hot, but I have no goodies to share, unfortunately. Actually, I need to go to Publix this morning to see what they have for home-made cookies.

Happy Saturday to all wherever you may be and whatever you may be doing.

Soos - I can't believe any aging hippy doesn't know the group Foreigner! Granted.. the group isn't all the original members at this point.

Rock n Roll.. and to think.. we got to hear the good bands.. the first time around. :)

HaHa, Alice----ya know how I have a lot of trouble thinking of names, and translating letters and abreviations into meaningful words? Well, I probably will "know" Foreigner when I hear them, but never, ever knew their name! My daughter, whom I just talked to, says I will know them as she heard me playing their music when she was growing up! Except for the Kingston Trio, and perhaps a handful of other music groups, I never knew the name of any of them! For the most part, I never even understood the lyrics, as lately I have been concentrating on the lyrics of my old favorites----some of them even make sense!

Sigh----looking forward to tonight!

Quick look outside....SUN is shining. I do see some clouds in the area. This is a welcome sight. Was cloudless last night and the stars were really great. Love seeing the great sun. Wind is blowing pretty gusty.

Will see about getting out in a bit and doing something. Looks like a good day to go down to the dam and poke around. If the wind lets up the birds will be out to eat. May go to the birding trail too. Need to finish the French Vanilla coffee.

Hope all of you have a great Saturday and enjoy yourself. If you are on the road be safe.

Soos, maybe you'll remember the song "Feels Like the First Time"? Foreigner is a great band.

So nice to have the sun. But I had jacket over sweater over sweatshirt over tshirt. Yep, was cold walking Peaches this morning. But the sun had my solar completely charged much earlier. Going to go see how well the vacuum runs off the inverter. Got to try all these things :)

Off I go.

Hello everyone!

It's chilly & windy here in Florida but tomorrow will be colder. If we can make it the next couple days, things will warm up again.

Kathleen was over for dinner last night and made the most delicious corn bread. She can make that anytime, because it sure was good.

I have eggs on to make devilled eggs, so I need to watch them. Stay warm!!!

Evening here, but had to chime in on those cute pictures of Orion...he's adorable! And if it makes you feel any better, Soos, I don't recognize the band Foreigner either. Perhaps they were 70's and not 60's? I got busy raising family and working in the 70's and didn't pay as much attention.

Foreigner did "Hot Blooded" and "I've Been Waiting For a Girl Like You".

Some of the best music ever, came out of the 70's and 80's.
Speaking of which, may Whitney Houston rest in peace....so sad.

Liz, same here. I know the name but not the music. My closest friend is always talking about her favorite old groups and their music, and I have to remind her that I was married with a mortgage, a demanding husband, and 2 kids in diapers while she was out dancing!! Soos, little Orion is just a doll...I bet you can't wait to scoop him up and cover him with kisses.

Soos,

Orion is the cutiest sugar bear!

Foreigner is a great band. I'm sure you recognized and enjoyed the music when they started playing.

Foreigner and the BBque and Brew was so much fun on Saturday night! And I remembered every song they sang! Now I know who they are! I can't wait to go to another concert there----next Sunday night it will Kenny Rogers, and I will get there early and get a front-row seat!

I sure have a hard time not rushing home to get some real-life time with my little Orion! Sometimes I just sit here and watch my screen saver pics of him over and over!
