Free Day Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Free Day Friday

Postby HorizonSeeker » Fri Feb 10, 2012 7:07 am

Can't believe I'm the first one up to make the coffee today. Well, I'll make the tea and save the coffee making for those who drink it and know what they're doing. Fruit and pancakes sounds so good. Nothing for me. Alas, I'm off today because I have tests at the VA and since they are drawing blood I can't eat til after that. At least I get a free day from work although I worked extra hours earlier in the week to make up for missing today. Should be a sunny day so after lunch I might just go walk on the beach.

Be safe ladies!

Silly, girl, it isn't a 'free' day. You will pay for it with your blood!!!

Rainy day here, again. But we need the water so let it be. Just a bit of wind. Hope it stops raining enough we can go do some geocacheing. If not maybe see how far the rain is going to be falling and make a day trip somewhere.

Great oatmeal with raisins, walnuts, almonds and blueberries. Missed the hot buttered biscuit but I am following it up with some French Vanilla coffee.

Here is hoping all of you are going to have a fun and safe day.

Birdie - the rain is training here this morning. It's going to be soggy for a while here. Looks like you might get lucky and it move out of your area soon. But it's going to get cold behind it. Stay warm!

I'm off work today to go for my mammo then play. And I'm fasting as well because I hope that I can get them to do my bloodwork required for my insurance - yeah, we have to have annual bloodwork and a physical to avoid having to pay a super-premium. Otherwise, our plan would be considered a cadillac plan.

Then I'm going to go kick some tires and try on some RVs and dream for when I win the lottery. Guess I need to buy a ticket as well :)

Good morning. Strong pot of coffee almost gone.

Rain moving in here too with a chance of snow flurries overnight. Weather man has got to be kidding! So many things are blooming from the recent warm weather it is hard to remember it is still winter. Going to be bitterly cold this weekend but should warm back up mid week.

Not that I'm counting or anything like that, but am down to just under couple of weeks before getting my new RV. So hoping for good weather for that journey - warm and dry at least until she is safely parked up here somewhere. Rig actually has a name, "MAJIC". Am on waiting list for storage place and have been busy getting insurance estimates (bigger pain than I expected).

Am waiting for call from lawyers office this AM. Think we've made progress on getting probate process under way without me having to be the administrator. Keep fingers crossed on this one.

So much left to do, so little time. Off to tackle something and whittle the list down.

Wishing all a great day.

It's raining here too and turning cold. Suppose to be back in the 70's Tuesday. It was cool yesterday but I was in shorts anyway. I was cleaning with Clorox and didn't want spots on my jeans. My son wants me to come get another load of their stuff. Rather not go in the rain but I need to go to Walmart anyway.

Sarah, is your motorhome going to be winterized when you pick it up? If there is a chance of a freeze after you get it home you need to think about that. Since I live almost on the coast I never winterize other than putting the pink antifreeze in the drain traps and holding tanks if it gets below 30. I just open the cabinet doors so the heat can get to the pipes and run my heat. If it is winterized you can still use things by using jugs of water and dumping the tanks when you get home. I am so glad I have a place to keep it at home so I can see about things. It's a little too handy because things get put in there that have to be unloaded so I can take a trip.

It looks like the rain is getting heavier than letting up.

Morning! Only 10 in the AM here on the left coast! Just peppermint mocha coffee so far. Would love to share your oatmeal, Birdie! Yummo!

We've had light rain, on and off for the past couple days, but the temps are getting up near 50 so I'm ok with that....for now. ;) Saw a robin in my yard last week. REALLY? In early February? Just not right. My grass in the backyard is almost needed a good mowing, too.

Got my teeth cleaned yesterday. Xrays, too. No cavities but I have a tooth with such a huge filling that the thin walls are starting to give out, so agreed to get it crowned before that happens. There goes a huge chunk of RV play $$. Will start the prep on Monday evening, 6PM. Strange how my dentist is open till 8 on some nights, but caters to the working. They open at 7, too.

Looks like I will be attending horse camp over Mother's Day weekend! :D Still awaiting word, but my DD is attending with one of her girls and will see if grandmothers are allowed to attend with a GD as the youngest asked me to go with her. We get to sleep in cabins. Should be a hoot!

I'm so excited for you Sarah! I bet you lay in bed each night thinking and thinking about it. Going over scenarios etc.
And Sandersmr, attending an RV show! Oh, what fun. Wish I had someone to attend one with. I think there is to be one next month in Portland.

I had a "chat" via Facebook, with my nephew. He was born with spina bifida in the mid 60s, and is now having all the complications associated with it as one ages. His spine has curved to a backward S shape and he fell on the ice 3 yrs ago at work and has 3 bulging discs that the Dr can't do a thing about because of his spine curvature. Also his kidneys are acting up so had to have them checked every few months. Just so sad as he's such a great guy. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers, please.
