MONDAY AT ORLANDO

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY AT ORLANDO

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I have hazlenut-flavored decafe coffee for all of you this morning----decafe seems to agree with me better than the real stuff these days. I will wait for breakfast until I get back from the doc, but you can all have a seat and rustle up something to munch on.

I am up earlier than usual as I have an appointment with a new general doctor this morning, and I wanted to give the dogs a chance to play a bit before I leave them. It is dawning cloudy and cooler, and we did get some much-needed rain last night. Things are smelling so good, the birds are happy, the crickets are singing, and I can hear the plants sucking up the moisture! Apparently there is a tropical depression of sorts down near Cuba, which should bring some more rain to southernmost FL and provide us with clouds all day.

After the doc appointment, I will go online and officially get my tax info sent off. I am so excited that I won't have to shell out tons of money to the IRS this year. I guess it has paid me to retire after all!

There is vacuuming to be done, some touch-up painting in here, some repotting of a few plants, some hedge trimming, so the day will not be boring. If it gets as warm as the 80 degrees they are saying is possible by afternoon, there is also swimming at the pool and a bike ride! Oh, and, of course, the dog walking!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday wherever you may be.

Good Morning Soos and everyone else,

No coffee for me thanks, but I did have a bowl of cereal and a glass of OJ. I have cereal, OJ, bacon, eggs, corn muffins or toast available here this morning if anybody wants to stop by for a chat.

You are going to have a busy day Soos as am I. Gym this morning followed by a quick run to store as I am running out of milk. Going to bea beautiful day. Need to do some vehicle checking too and also have an inquiry on my TT so need to send some pictures. Will have to take some from Photobucket or scan some into my computer as I don't have any in the computer right now. I have the trailer on Craigslist just to see if I have any bites. Although it is covered under it's cover, I can be accessed with no problem and can be moved too for that matter.

Tessa is much improved as time goes on here. Think the meds are working. She sees the vet again tomorrow. And I see my chiropractor. Looks like a blast of cold air coming in later this week, but no real snow with it. Course that could change as the winds could trigger off lake effect. In the meantime I am going to enjoy the day. Like Judy JB said yesterday, it's hard not to get spring fever.

Otherwise not much doing here. Have some apple trees out front I should go prune while it's nice and I can get to them. There's snow out there along with bare ground to and I can almost walk on top of what snow there is. So we shall see.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Other than pedaling my bicycle to walmart, no big plans here today. Should start on my taxes but need some inspiration or a few more gallons of coffee in order to begin.

I'm thinking that I will not attach my bicycle cart to the bike today in hopes of not buying a bunch of stuff. That is the one thing I hate about walmart. Walk in for two items, come out with two carts full.

Later today or tomorrow, I should receive a bid on work on my beach house which will include a 30amp hook up for visiting friends with small rigs. My rv won't fit in the driveway. The driveway is rather short but that's no reason for friends that can fit not to visit.

Morning! I'm jealous of all y'all that didn't have to get up at oh-dark-thirty just to come to work. I think I could really enjoy retirement if I ever get there :)

Good morning everyone!

It's another nice day in Ocala with temperatures starting in the low 60's and will eventually getting into the high 70's. There is a 40% chance of showers today. It's overcast and since Florida needs rain so badly, I hope they get more than the 5 minute shower we had yesterday. When I look at the weather in MD, I'm so glad I'm here and am already looking foward to being here again next year.

Sandersmr, I just retired the end of December and am still numb from the freedom of being able to sleep in. Everyday is a 3 day weekend. I didn't have to work yesterday and don't have to work tomorrow.

As usual, I don't have any plans for today other than the usual reading, relaxing & taking walks. Enjoy your day!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Yep it's still morning here so I'm allowed!! Woke up 1 1/2hrs before the alarm went off. Well at least the external alarm anyway. The internal one that needed to go potty had other ideas. And of course once I got up that did it for Shade, she decided that if Mom went P, she needed to go too. When I first got her I kept puppy pads on the floor in front of my shower. I would go P and usually be chanting "gotta P, gotta P". She would follow me and go too. Now? If you mention the word P??? Look out! I think I might have a couple of puppy pads hanging around but haven't used one is soooooo long! The last time I put one down for her to use while I was gone? She looked extremely insulted.

Weather here is beautiful today. After I wash my hair I think I will drag Kelly off the couch and go to the storage room and get started on clearing it out. Need to remember to take trash bags with me. Sort whats going to the dumpster and what I might have that's good enough to donate to the small thrift shop here. It's a small thrift show that supports animal rescue.

Geeze?! just had to go outside to see what was going on!! Heard the most awful caterwauling from what sounded like a small dog. Looked all around and saw nothing. A vehicle was going by when I started hearing it, I thought maybe a dog had been hit. I guess maybe the dog was riding in the back of a truck?? Whew, if that dog does that all the time??? I think I'd "debark" that one!

OK, gonna go read some other posts to see what's going on with ya'll. Hope everyone has a fantastic day and remembers to stay safe!

Love to all

So, Echo----is it in your plans to return to your home area for a while now? I thought I might have read that you and Kelly might head back to see what's up back there. I don't envy your sorting and tossing and clearing out stuff---I will be back to do doing that again this summer when I get back to the Adirondack home. Hopefully my daughter will be there again to "push" me onward!

If you are heading homeward, I hope you have a nice trip and stay safe!

Thanks for the good wishes on going home.

We are moving forward slowly and tentatively on the want and wishing to go home. Don't know yet if I'm brave enough to just pack up and head to TN without a job of one sort or another promised!!! We've got the money to pay for the trip and to have some left over but living expenses would eat that up quickly. So it's nerve wracking to say the least. Told Kelly that if we don't hear anything back from the feelers I've put out that we might just end up having to stay out here for another season. Then head home in November at the end of the season. Even if it means living on Ramon Pride noodles for 6 months to save a really good cushion for when we 'land' in TN!
