Pink Flamingo GTG, April 12 - 15, 2012

Hello to all from Diana and Karen!

DATES: April 12, 13, 14, and 15 (depart on Monday the 16th)
(Note: another rally is coming in on the 16th)

WHERE: Peach Country RV Park

RATE: $25 per night (Good Sam discount available)

RESERVATIONS: Each to make their own individual reservations, mention the Pink Flamingos when you call!

Rec Room is available and very nice with FULL kitchen, BUT is shared with any other residents who might want to use it. I don't think this is a problem because it's large.

SITES: They are holding a block of 12 sites for us. The sites are very big, both pull through and back in. Full hook ups.

WHY Stonewall?
*Heart of the Hill Country
*Spring blue bonnets and other wild flowers will be blooming
*15 minutes to Fredsricksburg (lots of shopping and eating)
* Pacific War Museum for history buffs
* 5 minutes to Lyndon B Johnson State Park and Ranch
*15 minutes to Johnson Settlement National Historical Park in Johnson City
*Wild Seed Farms and Butterfly House
*30 minutes to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area.
*many, many wineries and tasting rooms with in a few miles
and last, but not least.....
*Lukenbach Texas (Willie and Waylon, and the boys!)

FYI: IF this park fills up, there is a KOA near-by and several other nice parks in Fredsricksburg.

Is the Pink Flamingo GTG different than the other GTG's that are mentioned here on the Forum? Is it a different group or a combination of groups? We are still trying to figure out if we can make it.

As Birdie explained in the post for our Potter's Creek TX GTG in Oct "The Pink Flamingos are a bunch of us WomenRV women in Texas and Louisana and some other of our friends who have chosen to not join the WomenRV forum. We welcome all women who RV. We just want to get together and have fun, eat good food, see things we have not seen before and generally be silly. We are having several meetings in Texas and would love to capture any one passing through." I attended the last GTG in Brenham and we had a great time.

Certainly hubbies can come...to any and all of our GTG's. Hope you guys can get over there for this one. I'll be on the road toward Alaska and won't be there. You will really have lots of fun with them. A bunch of fun loving ladies.

Hi All...we made our reservations for 4/13 & 4/14...we will arrive early evening on Friday as we have to work till 5:00 so will be out of the park by 5:30...not sure how long it will take us to get there. We will have to head back for home in the afternoon on Sunday as we have to work on Monday morning. Looking forward to being together for a fun weekend.

Are there plans to have a potluck lunch or dinner on Saturday?

Was told we are in site 12 but that might change. See you all then!!!

I'll be in site 2. We need to get you on the email list. Was just looking at it and the majority of us are already on this forum. And those that aren't, are not so active.

I'll be coming over after work on Friday as well. It should take you about an hour and 50 mins to get there. We'll have a great time despite missing those who are traveling to Alaska early. We've got a great group shaping up already!
