Mitch - your poor ole widdow woman is so reminding me of Jean. You wear that comment well. And I hope you get as much use from it as she did...

The dufus/doofus's are on a roll again!   (along with some good jabs from the peanut gallery!)

That is the same kayak I have my eye on too (without the sail). Did you get two seats with it or is it just a one seater? That kayak is supposed to track really well.

Barbie, it's a 2-man kayak. I got the "deluxe" seats and they appear to be pretty comfortable. The whole thing is heavier than I expected. I'm going to look for an inexpensive "cart".

I wouldn't be surprised if the "poor old Jean widder woman" is feeding the new widder woman's brain with wisecracks and witty sayings, although, I am sure that Mitch's psyche has no problem coming up with such all on its own!

P. S.----I love your new kayak! I haven't used my canoe very much down here lately, as the canal leading to my favorite paddling place, Shingle Creek, is clogged with some vegetation. I am thinking I need to bring it to St. Cloud and explore palces around there instead. Goog and Melissa go fishing in the tons of lakes in the area, and I could follow them. Yes---good idea, Nasus.

Actually i love the old widder woman thing. Seems to fit Mitch perfectly. And having that two seater kayak will be a great addition. Room for Mitch and a bear too  Well, maybe she might take Vicki along, but who's to say that they might not just "accidently" dump over.

Love that kayak. Now if you lived closer, I could sell you my canoe/kayak carrier with nice big wheels :) Actually I too have been thinking along that line again. Getting a new kayak. It's so much fun being out on the water. Gosh i wish I could head for AK too. :)

Mitch, congrats! The one I have is heavier than I thought too, so I went to the office supply store and got a little folding file cart...the kayak fits in it pretty well and it has wheels some can tote it! Just a suggestion! Let me know how the sail works for you!

That's the model I have without the sail. I really like it, although I haven't used it much. Mine weighs about 38 lbs.

I think you should stop being so mean to poor little Abby. :x Just your luck, you'll get a vegetarian bear and only get maimed, not eaten and spit out. :o

The boat itself is supposed to weight 26#, then add the sail and the deluxe seat and the paddle and the beer/wine...adds up quickly.

I am not mean to Abby...it's only what she deserves, the little beast...

I think that's about 10 lbs more than mine weighs. It seems much heavier when carrying it before inflation. After I inflate it, I carry it on my shoulder with no problem at all. I don't go places where it's a distance to launch that I can't do that. One reason I got the lightest weight I could find. But I look at some of those wheeling theirs and can see how that could be nice.

I know...and I had it all planned, too - I was going to tie bacon around Vickie's ankles and set her out with Abby.
What a show that would have been...I was going to get an extra memory stick just to film the entire event.
Dang.

Beth, what kayak do you have that weighs only 16#?? I would have looked hard at something that lightweight.
Well, maybe mine's bigger, so it'll carry more beer?
