Wednesday Sunshine

GOOD MORNING ALL!

The day dawned with early morning fog, warm temps, and sunshine breaking through. Supposed to be another day in the low 80s----perfect swimming weather! Doing laundry this morning, shopping for St. Cloud and Dinah-picking-up tomorrow, then hitting the pool this afternoon.

I took my first dose of the yellow powder mixed with some juice which is supposed to help my digestive problems, and, of course, I am imagining I'm getting every possible side effect of the stuff listed! (I actually don't think I am feeling any side effects at all, if I concentrate and calm myself down!) I will eat a bagle with raspberry jam made by my daughter from the raspberries I picked last summer back at home and see what happens---perhaps I can make it to Wally Mart to pick up a few things.

I am getting excited to have Dinah join me and Molly!

Another sunny day at the swamp. We will be spending the day painting again. Reasons are twofold: business is slow so it's a good time for maintenance chores and because a reporter is coming on Saturday to take pix for a story about getting people back to the swamp since last year's fires. I feel like a Hollywood set worker only painting the parts that show in the photographs. But it pays the rent so I won't complain. At least we're through with all that hateful screen splining. Ugh, what a job. Gave Gus a bath this morning and his flea/tick meds. Spring is coming here soon along with the bugs. Off to work!

After the storm

We had rip-roaring thunderstorms with tornado watch in effect all night, but the clouds are now clearing and the sun is peeking out. All the birds are a-twitter, and the deer are frisky. I know some to the east are still in the path, so am praying it'll all pass through quickly as it dumps much-needed rain on this parched land.

Birdie should be rolling in to the campground sometime today in her brand new home. I'll try to get some pictures when that happens. So exciting!

Things are improving with Simba, and the key may have been as simple as prayer and a squirt bottle. Time will tell.

Good Morning all

Soos, I'm excited for you and Molly getting a new family member. Great news, Liz that Simba is doing better with his adjustment to living with you. Just know that is going to work out for both of you.

I just barely made it to edge Tallassahaee before running into rain yesterday. Decided to pulled off and got a room here along I-10 for the night. Heavy fog this AM but it is lifting and it is not raining. Unfortunately weather channel is showing the entire state of AL with rain for next several days. Am only going as far as Pike Road, AL (just outside Montgomery) today then shoot for Huntsville on Thursday. Not looking forward to driving that far on interstate in the rain.

Guess I'd better finish packing up and head out again.

Good Morning... my such newsy posts this morning... Oh Soos may your new charge be an excellent fit... how happy Molly will be to have a new buddy... Horizon that sounds like work to me... I am a lazy bum would sit and look at it then go back to bed!!! Liz when I saw that picture I immediately said 'The winds and waves obey His will peace be still' that is such a beautiful picture... and to boot Simba is showing a bit of improvement... that is good news...
Sarah I can tell you must be dreaming of the day you can just pull off and park and spend the night boon docking... no motel bills to pay... just gobs of gas... I hope you are home and can come camp with me when I come through Huntsville in the spring...
With all of the exciting news mine is rather low key... just relaxing today again for the umpteenth day in a row...
Stay safe from the storms... I had a bad post yesterday thought they had calmed down... guess we are in for a rock in roll spring again...

Gorgeous day out here in the desert! Supposed to be mid 70 or so. I have a couple of pictures of Sheila's Indian Tacos from last nite, and will post when I get time. It was really windy last nite for the GTG and cold so we broke up fairly early, but not before Larry built us a rip roaring bon fire! Yay! Still a little chilly at 9:30 tho. Jenny took quite a few pictures and hopefully she'll post them when she gets back toYuma. I was to busy eating! You guys know me when there's food on the table, I'll walk over the person next to me to get to it. In fact I almost shoved poor Kathy (kd) out of the way to get to Kerri's cheesecake. I hate to think what she thinks of me! Kerri's brother is here so the three of us are doing a trail ride today and I'll try and get pictures of that. Gotta run, I want to visit with Linda (Rufflesgal) before she takes off. Evie isn't going to make it over, she's camped out and ready to head home in the morning, but we made plans to have lunch when I go to DMV next Wed to see what other hoops they're going to put me thru to get that car registered. Gotta run, hope everyone has a wonderful day! Can't wait to see Birdies new baby!

Just sitting here watching the weather channel and the storm headed this way. I have already been to town and back which is unusual for me. I usually don't make it back until dark. We are under a tornado watch but the rain hasn't gotten here yet. It's really windy.

I went to Sam's and they have another program they are pushing. I'm not going to spend money to save money. I think they get enough of my money as it is. I think I shocked the cashier, I know I shocked myself when she tried to talk me into their program. What part of NO don't they understand. She said with this upgrade I can shop at 7:30 AM. I told her that the only time I would be in Lafayette at that time in the morning I would be going to a hospital and I wouldn't be stopping at Sam's. The only reason I keep my membership is for the gas and they have the best meat. Their groceries sure aren't cheap. The cashiers must be getting a bonus for everyone they sign up.

Liz, glad you are making progress with Simba. We learn so much from our sisters on the forum. I will be looking forward to the pictures of Birdie's new home.

Sharon, will be looking for the pictures of the GTG at Sheila's. You must be feeling better if you are eating again. I'm going to make it out there one of these years.
