Another Newbie from E Central FL

Postby fgfromfl » Mon Jan 23, 2012 6:46 pm

Hi. I am a newbie to the forum but my husband and I have been rving for 37 years now. Over the years, we have had 3 pop up campers, 2 trailers, 2 tents (o.k., I guess those don't qaulify as rv's) and two motorhomes. We currently have a 25' motorhome which is 9 years old. We travel in it occasionally with our two Pembroke Welsh Corgis. I don't know how much longer our motorhome will hold up and I suspect we probably won't buy another rv to replace it when it finally bites the dust. We have traveled a lot out west, in IL, WI and MI and in the south. We have visited many diferent places in FL. We've also been up the east coast as far a Maine. We have enoyed camping tremendously over the years. My friend bertnspike is new on this forum. She is going to be embarking on a new life in her new to her motorhome. She told me about womenrv.com so I checked it out and decided to join. I have read a bunch of the posts and you sound like a great group of ladies. I am pleased to be here and look forward to spending time on here because, even after 37 years of rving, I am sure I can still learn something new.

Hi Fran. Glad you joined, and hope you come on often and post. Hope to meet you down the road.

(My Class C is getting a workout - it's a 99 and hopefully will last me another 4-5 or more years. Hopefully, because it's spent a lot of time in salt air, and the damage shows - but hey, I've loved every minute of it - and when the time comes, will replace it.)

Fran welcome to the forum. I live in north Fl. You know the Gator country. I am still wandering around after the Florida gathering but will head back home tomorrow. Share all your camping stories with us, we enjoy learning and sharing.

Welcome to the forum, it's always good to welcome a seasoned traveler as many are just embarking on the lifestyle and others are in the planning process. If you give up your RV at some point maybe you can hop in with Susan (Bertnspike) occasionally..We'd love to see pics of your Corgi's also!

Fran, welcome! Hopefully you'll still get many years of enjoyment out of the motorhome and will post pictures of your trips.
