I'm sooooo so very sorry girls! Don't know how I got it since I never ever click on a link either! Do I need to change my mail addy too? I'll go change my password. I always put a subject matter in and send a link in a hyperlink using the word
"HERE".

Sharon on Wednesday I got a 2nd e-mail from you. They come with no subject....come on sistah, you would never send an e-mail without a subject. Be sure and check your security questions and you may want to change them. Just in case they 'picked' those too. Then change your password again in about a week. Next put it on the 3 month calendar to change it.

Double check if you get e-mails from your bank, CU, credit cards, bills, at this account. Go monitor that someone is not trying to get into them. Best change the password and check the accounts daily or everyother day for awhile.

I haven't read the entire thread and someone may have already alerted you to these items. If so I apologize for the 2nds or 3rds. Hope you kill the deadbeats by eliminating their access.

Sharon, check your contact list. A few months ago something was added to the end of my list of contacts. I couldn't access it to delete it. I don't remember now what the name was but not a person's name. I don't know if it was sending out emails because I never got a message from my contacts that they got something but I would get a message from MSN that my email had been tried to open with the wrong password and timed out. I googled the name on the contact and found out how to delete it. I think I had to go into some settings to get rid of it. I need to keep a record of things like this because I never can remember what I did. Anyway, I changed my email password and that seemed to stop it.

Sharon, this is a "worm" that is sending out the emails. Somehow it accessed your contact list - and usually just changing the password works - of course, you do want it to let you in though :) BTW - I usually don't click on links like "open here" or any of those generic terms - I want to see the actual link - and then I copy and paste it into a browser window - so if there's anything "hidden" it doesn't come with. When you make the hyperlink using a phrase, anything can be there - now, I trust you - but I'm pretty cautious. It's why I quit doing hyperlinks here on the forum (well, most of the time) and usually put in the whole link.

On websites, that's another story - but I have to trust the website I'm on. If it seems fly-by-night, etc, I won't click on their links either. Have, of course, so should say "shouldn't" and "usually don't". hahaha - just like everything in like, try to take precautions, but sometimes take chances I shouldn't. Ask CArol about some places Liz and I got into to take pictures - that we probably shouldn't have.

About the only links I send out are utube or a product...and always a web site that I trust.

Birdie, thanks for the tips, I've been checking them.

Finally got back on my Yahoo mail acct...just had to wait. It's a security thing they have. Didn't have any contacts on there that weren't mine. But now I can't access my mail from my phone, it won't take the new or old password. Yahoo has my 2 addys mixed up and has me signing in with the 2nd addy and the phone won't let me change the addy. Got to figure out how to change it when I have more time. sigh. If it ain't one thing it's another!!!

When I changed my password, I then had to go on my phone, under Settings & change the password there.

When I have changed my password I had to delete the app from my phone and then reinstall it where it asks for your email and password again. That has worked very well. Good luck.
