Saturday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Sat Jan 21, 2012 8:31 am

Good Morning all,

Saturday already! Another week is almost over. And next week is the last full week of January. Where'd it go?

Nice to wake up to a clear blue sky and the sun slowing rising in the eastern sky. Supposed to be a pretty nice day today with highs in the 20's. One of those get out and enjoy it days. I will be out for most of it, as I plan to do some clean up around outside here. I didn't blow out the snow from the storm we had on Thursday. Too much to do yesterday and there's only about 4 inches on the drive anyway. So today I am going to do that, the part of the backyard I clear for the "girls" , go over my deck again and also rake the roof of my TT and bring down what snow is up there. And then this afternoon, I plan to take the girls over to the park for a nice walk. There's another storm heading this way tomorrow and last I heard it was supposed to bring some drizzle, some rain changing over to snow on Monday along with some wind, so who knows what that's going to amount too.

Was a fun day at the gym yesterday. We had quite a crowd too. Some of us were discussing the roads we live on and have to drive on to get into town and the ice, snow, what have you on them right now. But we aren't going to miss gym class for "nuttin". Some of us remember back in the 70's and 80's where you were lucky if you saw pavement all winter till spring. I was laughing cause at one point, over the expressway overpass on the road I take to town, there was so much sand spread on the road, I felt like i was driving on a beach

Only trouble with a big crowd showing up for gym like that, is we sometimes bump into each other cause the room is only so big. All in the fun. There are a couple of cut ups who always give us some laughs. And the instructor is lots of fun too.

Vickie, had to laugh at your post about you ladies staining and working on teh cabin etc. and the guys thinking that "tool work" is too hard for ladies. If they saw the work us ladies who work in the state parks did, they would be standing there with their mouths open  Except for tackling stuff like electrical work and a few other things that the only the permanent staff or a professional tradesman can do, there isn't much we don't do.

Sarah, I love your new rig. Congratulations. Hmmmm, maybe I should start looking and ....

Sounds like everybody who's down south or along the southern parts of the country are enjoying their stays or their travels. Be safe all. For those of you who are under weather, that too shall pass. We are all headed toward spring, slow but sure. The travel plans are starting to be laid out, people are looking forward to trying out new rigs, dreams are being launched etc. Looks like it's going to be a good year. Have a wonderful day all.

Sorry, Sue, don't have time to read your long post. In a hurry here...again. Looks to be a really nice Saturday morning with the sun shine doing it's job on the lake. A little cool, but you know what, it is going to warm up. Have finished the New Orleans Creme Brule coffe and working on a new package of Taste of San Antonio. Going to be a busy day. Need to take some things I don't want to carry on the AK trip to storage. So I need to get to it and see if Liz and Simba want to travel with me today. Hope Liz got a good nights sleep.

Those of your on the road, be safe. Those stopped have fun. Those with the new rigs dream TRIPS!

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

I have a large and a small robogrip, also, and I love them both. That three-pack sounds like a good choice, Alice. They are especially good for tightening and loosening hoses from the faucets.

Liz thanks for the info---I am off to the bearcam right now! I sure hope Jewel's litle one or ones fare better than Lily's poor little Jason and beautiful Hope.

This is from yesterday with today's entry, so I don't have to retype it all!

Hard to understand why no one would chip the dog or look for her, especially if she just had pups. Maybe she was in an RV and they had to leave town..or a truck stop where she jumped out. Whatever her story, she is a sweetie.

I agree. Carol! That all-inclusive fee I had to ask three times about, as it just doesn't seem possible! That, and the fact that I thought I should at least give the former owners a chance to claim her, should they be looking, were the two reasons I let the control officer take her in the first place. I could have never afforded to take her to a vet to get all that done for anywhere near that price! When I asked if I could get her back if she didn't get adopted, they said I would have to go through the adoption process, which was GREAT by me!

I just got off the phone with the shelter again, and she is still available. They are open until 2:00pm today, and I will call then to make sure nobody claims her today, as it's the first non-working day. If she is still there, I will go there today instead of Monday to sign her up! I just can't wait any longer, as it's wearing on me to think, if they get too many other poor souls in there, they might start getting rid of those who have been there longer. I will need to make SURE I don't see any of the others on the Green Mile, as I will cave in and have an entire truckload of them! I am beginning to look forward to having her, actually, now. I will not be able to pick her up until Thursday next week if I sign her up today, which is perfect, as it will allow me to go to my doc appointment on Monday, and get the crates I need to care for her. Then I can bring her back here where she can go free with Molly and I can leash-train her, and housebreak her, if necessary. After that, I will need to see how she does on a leash in the city environment of my house in Orlando. Stay tuned!

Today will be in the 80s here, so a perfect day to wash the trailer and take a shower to boot!

Happy travels!

Big step! I had called my realtor friend from many years ago, and she just left after talking about listing my condo. I still have some things to do in terms of sorting, and need to clean my carpeted stairs, plus clean out the basement, plus one closet organized, plus a new furnace blower motor, plus give the place a good cleaning, plus fix the ice maker in my freezer, plus who knows what..... Will it ever end???

So, probably will list my condo in mid-February or March 1. She suggested a listing price that was a bit higher than I had thought about, but she had done a lot of comps, so I hope she is right.

And I DO have my new canvas toolbag ready to be packed for my motorhome, when I get it. I have a full set of my own tools and do most stuff myself, also, ladies! Good news is that she did tell me I didn't need to bother painting or paying to have my small den painted. That will save me some money I need to get my VIsa card paid off. (I painted my second bathroom before Christmas and with wallpaper border removal, it really kicked my carpal tunnel syndrone off, so I was in a lot of pain over the holidays. It has finally calmed down.) Yea!!

Clear, cold, and sunny here in lower Michigan, so I am off to get some groceries and run an errand. Hopefully, the bit of snow on the roads will have melted with the sun out so bright.

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

Jeeze a few are getting new furbabies and adding to the family pack! :D Good going all.

Cold, rainy and very windy here. First time we've seen rain since ? October ?, I think. Took Shade out to P and got rained on. Rain on the pad outside but ice on the windsheild! Couldn't find my umbrella, it's buried in the backseat of the truck so I had to endure. When she has to go out again I think I will put an extra large garbage bag over me!!!

Of course there is nothing planned for today, just same old, same old. Kinda like me!!!

I of course know that it's not morning anymore, just wanted to say "HI" to ya'll. Hope ya have a good day and please remember to stay safe.

Love to all
