Let's get together!

Thanks for all of the directions! I will copy and print them. I think you forgot to send me your phone number, Sheila, but I have it in my phone from when we met in Utah. I will PM you mine. I have a spotlight that I used at the Lake that I can take to look for those dumpsters, bear signs, etc. As long as you get cell service out there, I can call you when we get close so you can meet us somewhere. The guy I traded days with so I can come, came by this morning and offered to work for me on Wed, also, so I can have more time there :D Maybe we will leave Tues. morning, then. Did you find out anything about fees? So, are you boondocking there?

I will pass on the sour cream...lactose intolerant  I used to love it! I can eat yogurt and some hard cheese, but sour cream kills me. Just wanted to let you know. I need to be more careful right now, too, since I'm trying to heal my tummy so please don't be offended if I seem picky about what I eat.

Getting excited!!!

Hi Shiela - I will be leaving home (near Pismo Beach, CA) tomorrow and will probably arrive in Q on Monday. I have a big jar of salsa that is waiting for those Navajo tacos!!

I will be with the LoWs group on Plomosa Rd so I will need directions to get where you are at La Posa North. Have no clue where anything is in Q!! I do have KD's directions from page 1.

Could either you or Sharon PM me your tele numbers??

Thanks,
Linda

See you all on Tuesday

Oh, forgot to mention I will have my ShihTzu, Rags (yes another Linda with a dog named Rags) and my daughter's ShihTzu, Rocky.
Might also bring a couple of the LoWs people but not sure about that. If they want to join us, they will need to bring something to share!

I would love to go but don't think I can come up with the money for gas. Sounds like a ton of fun tho!

Yes it was a great GTG! The tacos were fantabulous as usual...the potato soup that Sheilas friend brought was great...the chocolate cake and cheesecake was awesome and so was the vegie and fruit platter that Sheila made. I was stuffed! I have pictures...well, I have 2 and then Sheila said "Let's eat", the camera went in the pocket and that was the end of that! You guys know how I am when there's food on the table! Kerri's friend came over today with his Quad and we went for a ride in the desert...boy, was that pretty..and I have pictures of that, too, but the cord for the camera is at home with all of my make up and hair stuff. Sitting on the kitchen counter. The earth would come to a standstill if I remembered everything I needed for a trip!!!

It was great meeting Linda and Kathy (kd) and sure hope to meet up with them again in the future. Haven't been shopping yet, maybe tomorrow. My outdoor mat started ripping on a fold, so I need a new one and they're about half price here. So nice to visit with Sheila and her Larry, such nice folks! Missed Evie, she's going home tomorrow, Anita and Linda from Phoenix were sick and didn't make it here, but we still had a crowd and had fun!

Yes, it was a very pleasant evening, great food and wonderful people. It's just almost surreal to meet people in person after only knowing them via an avatar photo and electronic conversations. I was quite tired last night and probably came off like a lump of clay but I am so glad I met everyone, and even Sharon and Linda's pets.
Thank you all for such lovely food. And a special thank you to our hosts Larry and Sheila...and that terrific fire with the BLUE FLAME was such a treat!

And, Guess who has A GIANT BAG OF CHIPS AND ONE AND ONE HALF CONTAINERS OF SOUR CREAM TO CONSUME ALL BY HER LITTLE OL SELF.....

If I was closer, I'd stop by and share those chips and sour cream with you!

So, are there more pics somewhere???

I so wanted to be there!!! Wasn't feeling well. Was thinking maybe gallstones, so ended up doing an apple juice fast for the most of 2 days, before having to quit. Got so sick that I ended up in the hospital Wed. night  Guess I'm real sensitive to massive quantities of fluids. Remember feeling the same when I had to drink that jug of Golitely for a colonoscopy. Found out my electrolytes were all wacky and low sodium. Long story, really, but I am feeling much better. Glad you all had a good time. Wish I could have joined in on the fun! Looking forward to pics.
