Anita, I'll be staying near Sheila and Larry. Sheila will let us know what to bring...or bring nothing, she typically makes way to much anyway. She's like me, doesn't know how to cook small! Just talked to Evie, she won't be able to make it to the dinner on the 24th, that's the nite of her groups potluck, but she's going to be there to visit with us probably on Wed and may even come and camp with us. She's pretty good about making her plans in jello like the rest of us.

we need a count of how many of us
and I'm thinking some where around 5 ish now we may or may not eat at that time but who says we have to eat immediately?
I will make the chili
fry bread
soup perhaps so we will have a dish that our special diets can have safely
dessert is taken care of
so need
onions
lettuce
cheese
tomatoes
salsa or picanta
all else you might want to bring will fit in the category of sounds yummy think I'll take that
I do have a bag of tortilla chips not opened so we can add
salsa or guacamole for them
as to breakfast that sounds yummy as well
haven't made breakfast cake in forever... that might taste yummy or we could co all out and
make those ableskivers that we discussed thoroughly one time
hmm in my head .........I can't count that high!
somewhere in the neighborhood or 15 or more including spouses or friends or other :)

I'll bring cheese and guacamole....avacodos are on sale here. Haven't heard back from Donna yet as to whether she'll be coming or not. Or Jenny. Sheila, don't you have her phone number? She's already out there.

OK, Sheila... Ken is off duty and said he would like to come, too, so count 2 for us ;) Rags, too, of course, but I will take care of his dinner  We are going to bring SixPac (truck camper). He was asking if we need a BLM pass or something? Do you know your GPS coordinates so we can find you easily? Glad to see Sharon will be there, too! She came up to Joshua Tree when Barbie, Colleen, and I were there in Oct. 2010. Cool chick! Barbie can't make it :( We will come up Tues. morning and leave Wed. morning, unless I figure out a way to stay an extra day. We hope to spend some time looking at RVs, on Tues, if we can. Not sure what we will bring, foodwise, yet. It will be something easy since I'm working and will be scurrying to pack, etc.

I can bring the onions, lettuce, and tomatoes, if you still need those. We have Ranch Market where I can get produce cheap ;) Ken said he would like to leave here on Mon, right after I get off work. I was surprised he wants to drive in the dark, but he said we really need the whole day on Tues to go to the show. He said there will be workamper recruiters and lots of RVs to see. Is there a fee to camp where you are? It's all new to me, so will it be hard to find you, Sheila? If you know the GPS coordinates, it would help. Ken is an experienced geocacher...lol! I'm just an amateur.

Linda, don't know if anyone has the GPS co-ordinates for where they are, but they're pretty easy to find in the daylight, probably not so much at dark. If I knew for sure I was gonna be there Mon I'd send you my phone number and you could call when you get to La Posa and I'd come get you, but I'm not sure if I can get out of here Mon. Might be Tues. kd put some pretty good directions out there on the first page of this thread. Read those and if you have questions I'll try and guide you through them.

If it's really dark when you get there I would suggest pulling into La Posa and just spending the night there. There's a ton of there for you to do that and then go find Sheila when it's light. You have no idea how dark it is there! Here's some more directions for you.

Coming west on the 10, take exit 19. Turn left. Go about 1/2 mile to stop sign. Turn right. Go about a little more than a mile to the light. That's Az 95. Turn left. Less than 1/2 mile there will be a left turn lane. That's La Posa North. Turn left into it. You can either spend the night there or go straight in. You'll go thru a little wash and then start looking for the dumpsters on your right. They sit back a ways off the road, so if you're not looking for them, especially at night they are easy to miss. Take the road to the right of them after you turn. Sheila is back in about 1/8 of a mile on the right, about 400 feet off the road and backed up to a wash. I'll pm you my phone number, call me on Monday and I'll let you know if I got out of town. If I did, I can come get you and lead you in.

Hope this helps....

Linda
that would be great for you to bring the lettuce, onion and tomatoes! Thanks much
for where we are there is a fee not sure if they do a daily rate or not the only ones I've heard of is the 40 dollars for a two week stay ....I'll try and stop and ask tomorrow ...I can also send you my number; that way if Sharon doesn't make it in I can come out....
add to the directions we have signs which are hard to see other than they have reflective tape on them the sign if you see them is a bear with a cardinal on his shoulder and our name on the front BOYD there are three signs in all when do you get off work? and how far are you from Phoenix? because Phoenix is only about 127 miles give or take a few....which would be roughly two hours...and yes you will want all of Tues to go to the tent it is a day in and of it's self...and yes they do have people representing different company's for workkamping
looking forward to seeing you then

Oh yeah, I agree, gotta have that sour cream to go on the tacos! I would think one bag of chips and one maybe 2 of sour cream would be enough...wouldn't want you to be living on chips and dip for the next week!!

Sounds like we've got everything covered. I've got the stuff to make those breakfast eggs that everyone liked for the next morning. I like sour cream on those, too! Did I mention that I really like sour cream? :D

OK, it's official, I won't be there until Tues. Have to wait around here on Monday for some papers to be delivered...coming overnite from Tx and they guarantee they will be here. I've been waiting 2 weeks for them and need them to get that %%$#@ car registered. But I'll be there before dinner, I promise! Well, as long as nothing else happens! :? If they get here early enough, I may try and leave on Mon, spend the nite along the way and come in early Tues. Hate to drive the 10 in the afternoon, there's a couple of places that get really bad wind in the pm. It's less than 200 miles there, tho, so shouldn't be a problem. See ya when I get there!!
