Good Morning from the snowy 45th,

Yes, another snow storm day here today. Won't bother you with the details as you've heard it all before. Same old, 3-6 inches, schools closed yet again etc. And because the schools here scheduled a Professional Development/Teacher prep day, there will be no school tomorrow either. So the students here will have a 5 day break again counting the weekend. There are snow days built into school calendars up here, but they are being wiped out pretty fast this month. I also see that some ouf our frorum sisters in WA have gotten hit with a pretty good snow as well. But theirs will melt long before ours does.

Did get to the gym yesterday. Had a good work out. Then came home and had a good workout behind the snow blower for awhile too. Tessa got her bath, so she's all nice and clean and sweet smelling. Feels so good I am sure. Will get Sassy done next month sometime. Right now they just came in looking like a couple of snow dogs and of course shook it off AFTER they were in the house  But it's only frozen water as I call it, so no big deal. :)

Today is going to be pick up the house a bit day and work on scrapbook, watch the wind blow and the snow pile up etc. Nice and cozy in here so to heck with it out there. If we have gym class tomorrow, I will deal with it after I get home. And over the weekend as well. Bet there will be a lot of traffic coming up on Friday as snowmobilers head north to play in the fresh white stuff. Been there, done that and couldn't wait for snow.

Kathleen and Irmi, I think it's so neat that you are jparked side by side at Wandering Oaks. It sounds like it's a nice campground and if I were going to come down and stay for awhile, i might have checked it out and stayed there too. But I have decided that I want to stick with my gym class routine this winter, till work calls me back, get in shape, lose some weight etc.. i will have plenty of time of do that when I retire if I want.

So guess I will go and get my day started. I'm a morning person and that's when I want to get my house cleaned and wash going etc. Would rather spend my afternoon working on craft projects or what have you. Exception being when I have to go out and blow out snow or go shopping. So have a great day all.

Morning, Sue and those to follow!

Marda and Christine got at least twice as much snow as my area did. We got around 5" and it's already gone. Now it's rain, which I'll take over snow and ice any day. Our coast got hammered with wind gusts over 100 in some areas. Lots of downed trees and mudslides closing roads. Last night all major roads to the coast from Portland, OR were closed.

Wondering how Liz's night went with Simba. Hope it works out soon. I know how stressful that can be.

Looks like Li made it out to So. CA safely. She has been sharing her trek, on her blog on Facebook, which has been full of exciting adventures.

Only thing I have planned for today is to get "stuff" ready for taxes. Not my favorite time of year, for sure!

Thinking of all of you that are having issues in your lives.

Good morning Sue, Lenora & everyone!

Sue, it sounds like you are keeping yourself busy, as usual. Between snow blowing your driveway, working out and taking your dogs for walks, you should sleep good when you go to bed.

Lenora, we were watching the weather in your area and thought about you when I saw your weather report. I hope the winds have calmed down and that everyone is safe.

It was a brisk morning in Ocala this morning, but it is quickly warming up. Temperatures will top off in the upper 60's with gradual warming throughout the weekend. We had a steady rain most of yesterday, which Florida needs. We hope to take lots of long walks today and perhaps play a game of Srabble with Kathleen.

I got a note from my niece this morning that my oldest sister is back in the hospital with a high fever, kidney failure & septic shock. She is in ICU but is stable at the moment.

Have a good day everyone!

Irmi, sorry to hear about your sister's illness. Does she live nearby?

Glad to hear you like Scrabble. I have done scrabble marathons! My friend and I rented a house in the VA mountains with a group of her other friends. We arrived two days before everyone else and spent the two days in our PJs in front of the fire playing non-stop scrabble, eating and drinking wine. Fun!
