Thank you everyone for the great comments about Stella and Jake! I'm so proud of them both!
@VickieP: Jake will quickly learn to love camping, because that WILL be his bed! He has his own bed in my bedroom at home and I don't let him on mine, although he does have full lounging and sprawling privileges on the couch!
@gjkl: I'm definitely considering solar panels. I love having full hook-ups, but I love being remote and "off the grid" just as much.
@Gentleladybear and cpatinjones: Jake was stretched out on the aforementioned couch sound asleep when I leaned in to take the photo, but he woke up when he sensed the camera in his face yet again (my daughter calls me a mammarazzi because I've dogged her with a camera for her 25 years.....)
@Birdbybird, longdog2, and AlmostThere: Stella is indeed the perfect size for a girl and her dog/moose! (.....ask me how I feel about it if we get several days of rain and we're stuck inside Stella with serious cases of cabin fever!)
@retiredhappy: I hope to tackle the member map tonite!
@mitch5252: She opens manually and can be a little heavy at times, but once started she's up and locked into place in less than a minute, WAY quicker than my tent ever was!
@Travelinana: Haha, I like your comment about "youth"! (I'll be 52 this summer). The so-called "aggressive" breeds get such a bum rap, since a majority of them are just big snugglebutts. Jake is the poster child for cuddlebugs everywhere.
@rvgrammy1953, Bethers, and mtngal: Stella definitely feels a lot bigger than her 12' x 7" footprint, because of the pitched roof and huge window over the galley. With the exception of a "real" bathroom and an oven, she has everything that my 25' Airstream had. I like the practicality of having the "comforts" in a small enough package that I feel capable handling.
Big thanks again - here's hoping for a gtg soon!
Terry
