Site registration and log in problems

Site registration and log in problems

Postby bertnspike » Mon Jan 16, 2012 12:45 pm

I sent a friend of mine to this site yesterday. She registered and followed all the directions, got the activation email, etc. etc. Today she tried to sign on and get into the site and she was directed to contact the administrator. When she tried to do that she was told her screen name and password were wrong. When she takes the same email addy, screen name and password and tries to register again it says she has already registered. She's tried everything she can think of, really likes the site, and would love to be able to respond to posts. So, she is stuck. Can anyone help? She uses a PC (I use a Mac). Her email address is fgorecki@aol.com.

Thank you... Susan

Hate when that happens, but bet Beth can fix her right up when she gets back from her day trek to MX.

Every member has to be approved before they can log in and post. She put in at 10 something last night. I might get someone approved in minutes - or sometimes days (unfortunately). She is now approved, and even moved out of "can't be seen" status which most people are in until they post their intro and I approve that. It's the way I try to keep spammers from posting on the board. It means there is a delay, but guess what - the spammers don't like delays and usually never come back.

Tell her she should be able to log in now and post. If there's any problem, reply to this or pm me - and we'll get it fixed - but there shouldn't be.

Sorry!
Beth

Thanks Beth. Fran and her DH RV a lot; she'll enjoy it here.
