Monday already!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday already!

Postby Colliemom » Mon Jan 16, 2012 8:36 am

Good Morning all,

Another Monday has rolled around. January is half over and seems like it was just New Years Day. In two weeks we will be pushing Groundhog Day and then wait to see what Phil predicts as far as winter is concerned. Actually there hasn't been much winter to predicte about this year so far. It's been conspicuously absent in some places and even here, its hit and miss. However out in AK, Cordove and Valdez are both being dumped on good. Those of you heading to AK this summer, may need to put skis on your rigs

So how was everybody's weekend? No complaints from here. Was out and about. Spent Saturday afternoon visiting with a friend who lives about 30 miles south. We always have a nice visit as we can yak up a storm about this that and everything. Yesterday was church in the morning and then I came home after a quick stop at the store, had lunch and spent some time working on the scrapbook. Got a call from a cousin, that her sister was coming over to play games, so how about I join them. So went over there and we played a word game called Quiddler. And in between all these visits etc, I did take the "girls" for their daily walks.

So this morning is off to gym class and then this afternoon, I plan to take the "girls" over to the park for some fun and running around. Probably do a little scrapbook work too. Can't do much more as I'm running short on filler pages, so will have to go get another pack before I can continue.

Another FL GTG is over and sounds like those who were there, had fun, good food, fellowship and friendships and memories made. Now I guess all eyes turn to the March GTG in TX. And more are being plannned as the year heads toward spring and summer.

Well, I've got to get going here. Time to get dressed and round up my gym clothes etc., Wishing all of you a wonderful day.

Good morning Everyone !!! Not to much planned today, laundry, and a low key day planning what my next move is. Still so many to visit in this area, but quite a few in other areas of the state too.

I managed to spend the afternoon of the last day of our GTG with all that were left and met Linann and her sister, Sandy. Thank you Sarah for picking me up. Sorry Soos about your delay in partaking of the recipe :D Another great GTG, some really GOOD COOKS here, much to my dismay when I climbed on the scales this morning .

Safe travels today all who are headed home or elsewhere.

Holiday for some, but not all, do hope everyone has a really nice day.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Morning everyone!

Winter is trying to arrive here in the NW. We finally got some measurable snow, a couple inches. Don't mind the snow, but know that living here, eventually it will melt and freeze to black ice.

I spent the weekend at my DDs as Saturday night she and SIL had a date night so I stayed with the girls. Then we needed to leave the house by 7AM yesterday to get to the girls' volleyball tourney. They live high on a hill and the snow looked pretty, but it was black ice frozen underneath. So the trek down was scary and I worried all day about getting back in time (was suppose to warm up some so was hoping the ice/snow on their hill will disappear) for my drive back home. At 1PM we were told the girls had two more rounds with other games in-between, so my SIL drove me back to their house and I came home. So glad I did as there were a few icy spots to contend with even with the melting.
Anyway, I'm safely ensconced in my little house and snuggling with my furbaby and all is well in Lenora's world again. :D We'll see what next weekend brings...more games and also another storm moving in from AK tomorrow night.

Wishing everyone safe travels and a super day!

Hi everybody, I miss you all from the gtr but will also be glad when I get home. Those of you still there know my search for a hot tub failed! Some were making fun of me can you imagine that for going to a resort in quotes type place. Hanging out in the sun for a cople of days here. Home either Thurs or Sat, not Friday, too much traffic.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Quiet day here today except I need to get the dishes done. Usually Kelly does them but I am thinking that I will take a turn at them for a change.

Surprisingly enough it was rather warm and toasty in the TT last night. Temp outside wasn't to bad so I guess that was the reason why? :D But it sure was nice to go to bed without socks on! Gads, I hate wearing socks to bed!!! It was even warm enough this morning to get up and wander around in all "my glory" getting coffee and such. That sure didn't last long tho!!! Shade was insistent in letting me know that it was her turn to do her business! So of course I had to don the human equivalent of fur to go out the door with her. It wasn't that warm outside!!! Besides I sure didn't want to give the 'old duffer' in the corner lot a heart attack!!  He is something else, I think he's a work alcoholic? He's always doing something outside and the landlord has put him in charge of keeping this little park tidy. Brent calls him, "The relic" ! And even sometimes calls him, "The fossil"!!!

Speaking of Brent. With his trips to the ER with chest pains, the docs here sent him to St George for an Angiogram. (sp) He's already done the stress test thing. Nothing was found to point out what is wrong and why he keeps having chest pains. Tho they did tell him that he showed signs of a having minor heart attack at some time. Still don't don't know what enzyme they said was elevated. I sure do worry about him. He said that he and his wife are thinking about buying their daughters house here and rooting. Want's Kelly and I to buy his truck and 5'er. It's a beautiful set up but no way we could ever afford it, and I'm not really interested in having a 5'er!!! ~sigh~

OK, enough blabber, got to get more coffee and see what else has been going on with all of ya. Have a great day and be save.

Love to all

Hi everyone!

It's not morning on the east coast anymore, but we were too busy getting ready to leave from the GTG to report in earlier. Lots had left the campground when we pulled out leaving Nan, Sarah, Soos, Linda & Sandy behind. I think Soos left shortly after we did and Nan & Sarah weren't far behind.

We are at Wandering Oaks in Ocala where we will stay until March sometime. Our plans are to meet up with Lori & Ernie at some point before heading back to Maryland.

We need to get outside and burn off our lunch, so I hope everyone has a good day.

If you ever are lucky enough to be at a get together with Irmi... ask her to make her pancakes. THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD. When she announced that she was going to make pancakes, I figured.. okay. pancakes.. good stuff but your basic pancake is your basic pancake. WRONG.. at least when it comes to Irmi's pancakes.

The florida get togther was fantastic. Can't say enough good things about it, the people, the food, the activities.. everything.. just fantastic!
