Sunny Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Sunday

Postby Irmi » Sun Jan 15, 2012 9:44 am

Good morning everyone and greetings from sunny Apopka FL! Today is the last full day for many of us at the FL GTG so we're going to make the most of the last day together. We woke up to chilly temperatures but it will get into the mid 60's later in the day.

Tomorrow, Steve & I will go to Ocala to spend the remainder of our winter at Wandering Oaks campground. Kathleen is going to stay there as well.

I hope the rest of you have a very peaceful and relaxing day.

Good Morning All - so glad everyone is having such a good time at FL GTG -
We are still staying on the beach at Aticama - extended our stay for another week - until the 21st. Surprisingly enough the beach has been very empty since the New Year. The last couple of days we've done nothing but hang around the Alfa. Me watching NASCAR testing and Bill watching soccer.
Yesterday was really hot and humid - and the electricity couldn't support the air conditioner - ugh. Shouldn't complain though it is in the 20s at home with snow on the ground. Today maybe we'll get out and do something.
Keep warm and drive safe.

Good morning...nothing new here. 30* and sunny. Weather has been strange. Wednesday it was 58* and Thursday and Friday we were in the single digits. Still no snow to speak of.

I'm going to head to the closest Wally World for one of those wonderful stock up trips...you know the one where you drop about $150 at the check out only to look in your cart and see TP, paper towels, detergent, shampoo, toothpaste etc and know that everything is a short term purchase and will ultimately end up in the landfill or the waste water treatment plant!

Three day holiday weekend. You know...I'm just a little disgusted with King, Lincoln and Washington's parents. They could have been a little more considerate and planned ahead of time so their sons birthdays were in late spring, summer or early fall so I could have two more three day weekends for camping. Some people just don't think of how how their decisions affect others.

Have a great day. I've enjoyed all the pictures from the GTG.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Started out sunny here, but clouds moved in this afternoon with wind and colder temps. I got a lot done though. Went to a nearby town to a laundromat/car wash combo. Washed all the dirty clothes, bedding, dog stuff, and rugs. Cleaned inside the RV while things were washing. Then pulled over to the car wash after checking to make sure the RV would fit, and gave Silver Lining a much needed bath. She's silver again. Then went to the grocery store.

On the way back to the cg, Simba and I stopped for a walk across the Canyon Lake Dam. Ate lunch there and now we are all resting. All except Bandit...he rested all day and wanted to go out to his screen room when we got back. Needed some peace and quiet after listening to Simba bark every time I went inside the laundromat to tend to clothes.

I thought it was going to be warm today, so hope it will be tomorrow.

Good heavens, you got all that done in the morning???? Wow, you must have been flying. It started out sunny here in San Antonio too. Got up to 65 then backed down to 62 and it is still sitting at 62 right now.

Going to be upper 70's down here by me tomorrow. Today wasn't so high - but just needed a sweater to walk Peaches every time. And I agree - I'd need to sleep all day to overcome all that work just in the morning!

Getting on here late today. Had a meeting this morning at one shop and then had to go to work at the other shop right after the meeting. The shop I like better, is not doing very well financially. I hope they don't end up closing it.

It was fairly nice today until later this afternoon, the clouds rolled in and the temp dropped some. Still only sweater weather tho. No complaints here!

Getting ready for my trip to Catalina Island on Tuesday! Will be in the mid 60's and sunny, so it will be comfortable. Made pretty good tips this last week so I will have a little extra spending money there.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Liz, I know with Roe you used the Bark Off. I'm just curious if you've tried it with Simba?

Simba just doesn't want his new mama to get too far away yet.

I tried it, put in new batteries and tried it again. Either it's not working or Simba doesn't care. I've got to take him to a vet for some booster shots and will ask the vet what else to try....tranquilizers? Citronella collar? Ear plugs for all the neighbors and Bandit?

quote thingee was strange but know you'll get the gist anyway.
Liz, don't you love it when you mind/body kicks in and you get it all done at once? I always like the feeling that it's all clean at once.
