Happy New Years Wendy and what have you been drinking. My sister and I are camping at the lake. The darn weather people lied and it rained. There were fireworks here and there but it's overcast and I can just barely see the ones across the lake. I don't have a very good signal so who knows if this will post.

Good Morning on the first of January 2012 can you believe it... wow Wendy, Vickie, Martha and Lotus did you even go to bed yet? I had water as my preferred drink and the bed was warm... but I wake up in the night many times... then go back to bed...
My twin girls were born on new years day 1958 that seems like a long long time ago... at 5:50 and 5:56 am... had pizza then for new years eve not a good thing when you are about to give birth... but what does a 17 year old know for sure!
I trust this year will bring many good things and that the sad things will fade... forgive those who have hurt you and move on... if your illness lingers get a new doctor... if your faith falters take a new look at the big book... God bless each of you my dear friends...
Oh Buddy the little dog is still in the hospital and will not come until at least Tuesday... still a sick little guy... but they take good care of him at the hospital... it is hard for him to understand why he cannot go home and see the gang but he will soon...
We have a full schedule today... ending with dinner... hopefully I will remember my camera and post some pictures...
I do hope Soos soon feels better or at least the doctor can find out her problem...
Take care everyone
Kathleen
Good Morning Beth I see you appeared before I posted...

Not much happening today here....cleaning up the camper and cooking corn-beef and cabbage for dinner for us and another couple here......

Wow Wendy, you certainly were the first. You must have had your computer right under your fingers when the clock struck midnight. Looks like a number of you stayed up to await the new year. Me, I as off in dreamland by midnight with Tessa curled up by my feet. Guess she decided she wanted to welcome the new Year in on my bed instead of hers.

Want to take this moment before I continue on to thank all f you for your advice, suggestions, listening ear, friendship (even if it's over the air waves) etc., last year. It certainly is comforting to know that there is a group the one can turn to when one needs to just talk, ask, cry or rant sometimes. May all of you have a Blessed, Healthy and Happy New Year. A lot of you suffered losses last year and a number of you have plans to retire, buy new rigs etc.. May you find comfort in this coming year and courage to follow your dreams.

The big exciting news for the beginning of the New Year here is a Winter Storm Warning to take effect at noon today. By the time it's over late tomorrow, we could have a foot of fresh white lake effect snow they say. But the winds are going to be the big factor. Gusts over 40 mph in this area and 50 along the lake shore. Actually about 4 counties along the lake shore may be under a Blizzard warning before the day is over. Looks like it's going to be a good day to stay inside, work on crafts, watch the bowl games for those who do that, just hunker down and watch it snow and blow.

This person is going to go get clened up, make her bed, get dressed and head for church in a short here, may make a quick stop at the store or may not as I am all stocked up here anyway and then head for home. Park the truck in the garage and shut the door behnd it.

So I am off to get moving here. Have a wonderful day all. Rest up from the big night last night those of you who were up or out.

Happy New Year to one and all. We had a small campfire last night and the 3 other work campers and our campground owners joined together for some good food and fun talk. We listend to the barred owls calling to each other while we cooked dinner on the fire. By midnight we were all ready to break camp and head for our warm beds. Nice quiet way to bring in the new year. I loved it. Hope each of you had a good celebration as well. Now on to cleaning the rv today.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all. Sue I really like your new year sign. Hope everyone has a wonderful 2012. We had lots of fireworks and noise.
Rags freaked out around midnight but Rocky, my daughter's dog, didn't hear a thing. LOL Both are still asleep and think I will go back to bed too. We are having very nice weather here in CA.

Happy New Year travel pals!

Due to virtually no snow in the Sierra Nevada mountains I'm
taking this once in a life time opportunity to drive up to the
summit on Tioga Pass in Yosemite on New Years Day to see Tenaya Lake
frozen over. So excited!

Have a great day everyone!!!!!!

Happy New Year everyone. We actually went out last night, first time in years I've been out on New Years. Went to a local winery where a really popular band was playing...from 5-8! My kind of evening, most bands start so late I'm ready for bed. Good evening and great people watching. One woman had on a zebra stripped coat, a black sheath with white flowers and black & white cowboy style boots. Was a sight to behold AND she entertained all evening by dancing by herself. She flopped backwards on the floor at one point not sure if by accident or on purpose and then she did the splits! She had a hard time getting up from that trick! I know the woman and she is usually very quite and I've never seen her in a dress. Another lady had on a really dressy outfit complimented by Teva sandals and socks.

Our warm weather blew away during the night and cold front headed our way with lots of wind. Hope everyone is starting the New Years as cheerful as Wendy and if not that the day and the year ahead will bring cheerfulness and many blessings your way. My 7th grade English teacher would despair over that sentence :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The roofer has redone a small section of roof to correct leak. So now it is wait for next storm to see if it worked. With that out of the way, I plan to leave for FL at end of week. Will figure out other repairs like replacing ceiling when I get back.

We had a perfect weather day to end 2011 and one almost as good on tap for starting 2012. Sunshine and mild temps in the 60s. Back to the deep freeze for early next week; Mondays high only in the 30s. Burrrr.

Had a great visit with Kathleen yesterday and will see her and Beth later today. Some of the best times I had last year were with friends from the forum. Good to both end that year and begin a new one with forum sisters. Thank you one and all.

Good (late) morning...
Stayed up until midnight, kissed my cat, and then fell asleep soon afterward. Just got up at noon today. I had plans to get up early to watch the Rose Parade this morning but read last night that the parade isn't until tomorrow. They never have the parade on Sundays. So luckily, I have tomorrow off so I can watch it. Last year I went to see it in person. That was an interesting experience! You see such a different perspective than watching on TV.

Nothing planned today but I really should get outside for awhile. It is already 76 degrees with a high around 82 later (and the rest of the week) and sunny, of course. Gotta take advantage of that! Got a new soft bike seat cover so I might take my bike to Lake Mirimar and ride around there.

My cold is finally pretty much gone, other than an occasional dry tickle in my throat. So glad that is over.

Made my new resolutions last night. Other than a lot more sightseeing, etc, I plan to start working out at 24 Hour Fitness on a regular basis (have a workout orientation tomorrow morning), and work on getting my debts paid off this year so I can afford a place of my own.

Hope that 2012 will be a better year for everyone with lots of love, fun, new friends and new adventures!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I went to bed early and so didn't see the new year until this morning. Got on the road about 7:30 and drove longer than I planned to. Am safely landed for now, although not where I planned to be. That's why I don't plan too much.

I think Diana has the best plans for today...wish I was with you!

Happy New Year to all.
