Good Morning (or Good Night)

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning (or Good Night)

Postby Bethers » Tue Dec 20, 2011 5:37 am

It's good night from me - but heading into Good Morning for all of you.

Last night's shift would have been my last one .. last of my contract. But I've elected to stay through either next Wed or Thur night shift. WIll get in 50 hours this week by doing this (so another 10 of overtime) then a few days next week. The money will truly come in handy. Molly is staying also -

Tomorrow we are off and going one last time to what has become my probably favorite ever Mexican restaurant. After a not so good first visit (foodwise) the next 2 times the food was so outstanding, just have to do it one more time. And the first time, I just would have preferred what I had fixed a different way - wasn't bad, just wasn't "my way" lol.

Need to head to bed so I can get up tomorrow. Have a great day all ... Enjoy ... be safe ...

Go fot it Beth! I love a good Mexican place. I'm told there is a new Thai restaurant in town that is excellent. Will soon see. I'm up and getting ready to take a 3 hour tour of the swamp with our camp owners. It's one of my job bennies and I am so excited. Like a kid at Christmas. Should be exciting. No time for much breakfast today girls.

Good morning ladies and all those who follow,

Yep, I agree. Got for it Beth. May as well make the moola while you can. Then you can kick back and have some fun just being on the road and going to GTG's and heading for AK later on and..... Ah, so much to look forward to. :)

Lori, glad your stint with the hayrides is over and now maybe you can get back to "normal" as you call it. You are sounding like it's time to quit the camp host thing and just get out and camp and enjoy life for awhile. Well, a few more months and you will :)

As for this gal here, I am heading into town in a little while to do some shopping and pick up my turkey for Christmas day. But first a trip to the bank is in store. I promise that I will not tire anybody out today. Nothing much doing around here anyway. It's just that some mornings I am up and at em cause I'm a morning person, so I do a lot of stuff first thing in the morning. Since it's supposed to be a nice day here, I will probably take the dogs over to the park for a walk later on.

We have lost much of our snow, but there is stlll snow on the ground. Not much, but white. According to the local weather folks, we are down 42 inches below normal, ranking it the second lowest since records have been recorded. And also looks like we are in to a LaNina winter.

Speaking of winter, I hope those of you who are in the areas being hit with this recent storm a faring okay. If you happen to be traveling or planning to travel, hunker down and wait till it passes.

So I am off to start my day here. Two more days and we will be at the Winter Solstice and it will start going uphill from there.
Have a wonderful day all.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Although the mid section of the country is experiencing a blizzard-like storm, good old sunny Florida is experiencing what would be a fantastic summer day back in the Adirondacks....sunny, low humidity, temperatures expected to get into the 80s! Sounds like a pool day afternoon to me.

This morning I will go to Lowes to buy a single switch for my kitchen which Weldon will replace one day at lunch when he comes from work at Disney, just to see if the problem with my kitchen light is the switch, or all of the fixtures/balasts in there. It just seems incongruous that all balasts would poop out together, and, when I wiggle the switch just right, some lights try to come on. When that gets done, and if I still have no lights, I will consider replacing the type of lights out there altogether.

Last evening I shopped at our local Pet Store chain to get my this year's stuffed dog with his 2011 ribbon around his neck. The 5 dollars he costs goes to homeless pet shelters, so I vowed to get one each year I am able. This one also has a squeaker, which last year's model did not have, so Molly seems to think it's HER Christmas present!

Coffee time is still on here!! I had intended on going to the store to stock the motor home but may put it off till later with the rain we are having... Margie came over yesterday and we did some in the MH... I am a lazy pup for sure... my idea is to leave on Thursday but not real sure yet...

I had to go into the doctors office yesterday and get another x-ray on my foot... it is still real red so the technician said it is not healed yet... I will carry my boot along and use it as needed... the nurse said I needed therapy on my foot but I will use cream and rotate it myself!

I got a new phone last week and it is a huge learning curve I must go through... with the little I drive each day I can mess with it in the evening or morning first thing...

Oh Beth you make all that money while you can... it will help you catch up on all the expense you had this summer and fall... Oh by the way The Grand Cafe had their 90th birthday last week... I did not go to the celebration as I am sure it was a zoo!! tell Molly hello...

Everything is good here...
Take care everyone...
