We very seldom see roadrunners in this area - one on a trail once in awhile. My late DH and I bought the grandkids a book several years ago about roadrunners, Lizards for Lunch. Thanks for the post!
I can't tell you how many miles and miles and miles of road there is...everyone but me has a quad. I just treat my truck like a quad...heck it has four wheels. Anyway, today I went up to the base of the Dome Rock Range and it was a wonderland of desert beauty...I went nuts at how beautiful it was...there were more plants and the washes were full of more plants than down lower and it was awesome the mountains jut straight up and swirl with patterns of lava. There are many dozens, if not hundreds of active gold mines, in this area (literally, no exaggeration...they are everywhere). I went up into the LaPosa mountains and I am tellin ya, there are endless roads everywhere...But, the mind-blowing greatest place is the Kofa mountains, it's a protected refuge for mountian sheep. This whole place is
"quad freakin heaven!!!
