Did anyone else watch HGTVs coverage of the Hershey PA RV show? One thing I noticed is less carpet in the dining/living areas. Also saw Roadtrek has a new rig with a slideout in the rear. Interesting. ;)

Missed it. I didn't know it was on. Hopefully, they will re-broadcast it again.

Birdie and I spent a lot of time looking at rigs during the summer and many of the new ones have smartened up and used less of the cheap carpet they favor. Carpet is nice in the bedroom although you could still use a runner there too and it is really nice to be able to sweep things out even if you don't have kids.

I saw that new RoadTrek down here at Stahmans place in New Braunfels. They are the "local" dealer for new RT's. They have a really nice selection - all except the twin bed version. Have never seen one of those on the show room. Lots of the 2011 and 2012 rigs have more 'vinyl' type than before. I am still in lust for the Thor Motorhome ACE 29.1. When they come down some more in price, I may get serious; then again I may not.

Love to rig shop. It is so much fun. You get the feeling that the designer and builder are certainly not doing this full time in the Class C even if it is 32 or 34 feet. And when you think about it just for a bit you remember why kitchen carpet went away. However, too cold to rig show in the outdoors right now, but I hear that an inside show is coming to town.

Just an FYI - the RV 2011 show was a re-broadcast, it originally aired in January 2011. The new RV 2012 will probably be shown in January 2012 or somewhere around the early part of next year. It's always fun to see what's new in the RV world!

Birdie...where is the inside show??? We like to go and look and get ideas that we can try in our rig.

I didn't think the slide on the Roadtrek was a good idea. You have to get out and open your back doors before the slide can come out and vice versa to pull in the slide. In inclement weather that would not be advantageous. Also in the same bad weather the inside of those back doors would get wet. Back to the drawing board..
