Torrey Pines State Preserve

I finally got my blog updated from my hike at Torrey Pines last week. I separated the pics onto three posts since there were so many (I pared it down from 208 pics to about 50+).

That place is so amazing! I had no idea how beautiful it would be. I will definitely be going back there!

Check it out...

Beautiful pics, Barbie! I loved each of them---but my favorite is the litle tree growing on the bare rock with its roots growing down the many feet of rock face to find sustenance below! Unbelievable! Is there a campground there? As in being able to park a trailer? This weird combination of weather/water-worn rocks and ocean is so spectacular to me. I could manage a trip to that place with no doubts.

Beautiful pictures. The sun spot lights were amazing. That is a very pretty area - sand, trees and sea what more could you ask for.

Soos, unfortunately there is no camping there, just hiking. There are other State Parks along the coast there that do have campgrounds/RV parks tho. I think there is one just a few miles up the road in Del Mar.

I love the colors at this place. The red and white sandstone, the green pine trees, the blue ocean, etc. I guess the wildflowers that bloom there in the spring are awesome!
