Visit to La Aduana an old mining town

We actually started off to Alamos but got side tracted up a little road to the old (1600) town of La Aduana where the silver was mined that made Alamos rich.
Interesting place. More ruins than town now.

Did you see the house with the tree growing into the side of it? It was quite amazing. I have pictures taken from the belltower. Looks like the place has really went to ruin since I was there. Glad to see the miracle cactus survives.

Yes I did see the house with the tree - we talked about it but didn't get a picture of it. I'd like to go back there and spend some time. Maybe coming home we'll stop at the campground in Alamos and explore La Aduana some more. We had friends with us who had left their dogs in their RV so didn't spend a lot of time. - mostly driving back and forth. There is so much to see in Mexico and so much history.

When were you there?

I was there in the late 90s. I lived in Alaska and my neighbor was born and raised in Alamos and still has a house there. We went for the big annual Music Festival.
