SUNNY SUNDAY IN ST. CLOUD

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Another beautiful morning here in St. Cloud, and so warm out there I just might go swimming at the beautiful St. Cloud Beach on East Lake Toho this afternoon.

By now I should have a daughter-in-law and a married son! I hope they had a good day for their vows and the pro photographer they hired to take some great pics. I can't wait until they get back here safely, as I always tend to worry. I am sure they are wishing their time would last forever there!

It sounds as if that TX GTG is developing into a HUGE one! I can't wait to see the pics taken at that extravaganza! I wish I could go, but the funds just won't allow it at this time-----unless that oil well money comes through and is somethig significant. (Doubtful)

Time to try eating something, probably more Activia, to get my stomach in shape for Thanksgiving. Something is not right with my system even yet.

Hope you all have a great day. I am hoping the snow they predicted for the Upper Peninsula will not hamper Sue's and her friend's tavels today. Happy trails to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

As usual, up before dawn here in the desert. Watching the sun come up is almost a sensory overload on my poor ol body. The mountains on the west side of the valley get lit up individually, in strips, one peak behine another, then rays of sun coming down on the mountains behind me...it is just so magnificent. I am running around like a wild woman getting every shot I can muster, climbing on into the truck bed, standing on rocks, running all over my campsite...good thing I am remote and no one else is out here...
Except the other day when I decided to take my outdoor shower. It was 2:00, or so, no one had been up this far all day....like most days no one comes up here. So, I am all set up with towel and shampoo, buck-butt naked hosin myself down and out of NOWHERE this guy on a three-wheeler goes tearing through the deset not even on the road. Just flying through....I stand there, in a stooper with my little wand dribbing water, suds running down my fat old lady body, gobsmacked, I was; just waiting to be seen by this fella. I instantly decided that there is no sense covering myself because if he looked at me his eyes would melt immediatley anyway, so I just stood there. He didn't even look my way! I figure he was too busy trying to stay alive due to his out of control speed. He buzzed by in a loop, buzzed back on down the hill and never to be seen again. And, as usual, no body came by again for days. Isn't it a hoot that for the mere seconds he was there were the very same seconds I was buck naked as a jaybird he was gone as quickly as he came.......shoot, maybe he did see me.

Since it is warm here in the desert, mid to high 70's for most days, it's warm enough to shower outside, so that's what I do. That way I don't fill my gray tank as quickly as I would if I used my inside shower. I like to think I am a law-abiding citizen and an honorable and responsible RV'er so I don't empty my gray tank in the dark of night like some people do...although it is tempting. Instead I take quick showers outside and ignore the fact that I let sudsy shower water on the ground, if you ignore something it makes it ok, doesn't it?

You know, there are sewer caps that have a hose-sized opening on them. Since your grey tank is basically shower & kitchen water, you could get one of those caps, a length of old hose that's threaded on one end, and water the bushes with your grey tank water. I've done that on occasion if my tank's a little too full and don't feel a bit guilty about it.

If you plan to visit the big white tent at Q you might check for that cap. Don't know why all rigs don't come fitted with them.

Outside showers are the best. If I had a house with lots of privacy I'd have one in a heartbeat. There's something so ... soulful ... about taking a shower outside. I'm with you, Kathy!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Kd, that was a good one! Always enjoy that first morning laugh the most. I've been caught out like that only I was sun bathing nekkie. Now I had stuff propped up around me so that no one could see my bare butt. Took me a few days to understand why a certain plane was buzzing the farm! LOL

Posted in the joke page, not really a joke but thought it should go in there. Read it in my e-mail and yep, sounded like something a kid would say. :D

Outside work to be done today. Get these windows covered. Dang big electric heater we use is goofing up and keeps tripping it's own breaker switch, just started last eve. Grrrrrrrr Gonna run the heavy extension cords from the 110 outlet that Brent wired in for me and see if that helps. If it doesn't we will have to get a new heater. Dang, out the window goes the money. Never fails...... :? :(

Hope ya'll have a great day and enjoy all that comes your way.
