Another Mini KY GTG

Let's get together!

Another Mini KY GTG

Tina is here visiting, Peaches showed her gang around and we were sorry we didn't have the camera - as they romped together, romped apart. All got wet. Tina and I watched. And occasionally realized they were totally not paying any attn to us, even when we called them. Hmmm - meant it was leash time again :)

Last night Tina, Molly and I went out to a Chinese buffet. When I asked an employee to take our picture, she was saying "no no" - she thought I meant I wanted her in the picture. hahaha - that language barrier can crop up anywhere. But she took the one that follows and it's the only one taken so far. After we went back to Molly's (hers is the biggest rig) and talked, and talked. Oh, did I say we talked?

Hoping we can get Vickie with us Thursday (when all 3 of us are off on the same night - at least I hope so :) )

Another fun and "filling" GTG! :D

Yep, what Beth said. Stuart got to swim with is leash off. :D His tail was doing the happy wag :) Mitch can vouch for his love of water. :? No flexi leads were trailing behind him this time. :o He did come out when Beth and I and the other dogs began to walk over the hill and start to "leave" him. Peaches and Remi even thought chase might be a fun game. They aren't quite sure yet, but have experimented with some wild and crazy running fun. :)

100% chance of rain so far for today has been accurate. But there appears to be a break in the extreme dampness and Herschel may need to go invite Peaches out before the bottom drops out of the temps and in lands in the lower 30's as projected. I am enjoying the visit with Beth and meeting Molly and her "fur family 3". I recommend everyone take advantage to catching "travelers" in your area. It just makes it even more fun to plan and dream about future trips and adventures down the road. (even if you discover a leak in your roof in the rain. :o So much better than discovering it sometime next January after all the damage is done!)

I am also enjoying curling up in my rig without the competition of "I should be doing something else" interfering with my ability to read a good book or work on some projects that I have been avoiding..... ;)

Nothing like having a couple of tired happy damp dogs snuggle up on a day bed with you on a chilly rainy day to help reconnect with your inner peace.... Well maybe a couple of dry purring cats would work but check in with Molly for that. :)

Will try to take some wet pup pictures.....

Talking and eating is what we all seem to do best. Good thing there's some walking in there too. Hugs to all...wish I was there. I'm getting that hitch-itch here. Seems where ever I am, I'm thinking about where I'm going next!

Herschel here.....

Just want to say Peaches is a wonderful hostess. She has shown us all the neat places to walk around the campground and shown us that state parks with few people in November really don't worry about that leash rule. Cool. 8-) We promise that we go get our leashes back on when we wander back towards the rigs and the people (or see cars coming around the hill into the park) but as you can see this place is sort of deserted.....

It was rainy the first couple of days but the scenery is still beautiful. I knew right away why Peaches had Beth park here.

Image

Peaches suggested we park next to her/ Luckily she said that the other guy that had parked in the grass and used the wrong electrical connections had moved on. She did not appear sad. She did come right out to greet me though. I like the lake view. Remi and I could get in and out of the rig without our leashes especially if we were just jumping out for a quick potty break. We were way to close to the water to let Stuart out without his leash or he would have been wet every time.

Image

The Lady and Beth and Molly got to go out to eat and spend several evenings sipping adult beverages and things like broken pretzels and Amish cheese. I heard that they even visited with cats! :o But did we get any snacks back here in the little rig? No way. I think Peaches got neglected too, but we made up for it when we made everyone go for long walks during the days.......

And as soon as the leashes came off there was some wild frolics on the beach and along the shoreline.

Image

Some dogs tried to fight over sticks....

Image

Image

Remi got to watch the swims from the shore.

Image

"Wait, wait, Stuart! Don't go and leave me. Turn around!" pleads Remi.

Image

"Thank you Stuart, I was so worried......" wiggles Remi when Stuart decided to come back.

Image

"Lets just romp around here where we can all play......and I don't have to get my paws wet," shouts Remi. "Chase me!"

Image

Image

Tired yet? Well Stuart isn't but I think we are heading back towards the rigs anyway. Here comes the leashes guys. Lets go find Peaches and do it all again, later.

Image

And that is what we did. :D We went a second time later in the morning with Peaches! We really like it here!

Peaches here - I sure love having my friends next door. Mom just told me they'll be leaving tomorrow and I said No Way. I guess the people folks get to make those decisions and don't let us in on them. And they are so good to my Mom who is sleeping in mornings (I HAVE to be good to her) and come back out with me when we finally get out. I pretend to not care they are here, but the minute we get out the door I can't help myself, I go right over to their door and wait to see if they'll join me.

We'll sure miss having them here - but Mom tells me the people folks are leaving us to go out to dinner again tonight. I mean AGAIN? Oh well, I'll accept it - sure is better than the hours she leaves me to work and I sure do like my time with Herschel and Remi and Stuart. Stuart and I pretended to not care about being friends, but on the last walk, we always kept each other in sight. Mom noticed that, of course.

Thanks for coming to visit me. I'm so glad you did. (And Mom is glad, too - she had sad news again today so I think this dinner will be good for her. I just can't be her only source of strength, you know - much as I try).

Love, Peaches

It is such a joy to watch the pups play! Wish I could have joined you for the visit there. Terrific scenery and great company.
