Finally got moved in.

Hi guys,
Well it has been a while since I was on here. We came back from our trip this summer and sold our house in Baton Rouge. We had lived there for 36 years, and had 36 years of stuff to get rid of. Lordie, the Salvation Army is gonna put up a plaque in our honor. LOL. We had 6 mega cab truck interior loads, back end loads, and 13 foot trailer packed to the rim loads of stuff we gave to them. I found I had 3 of everything, so send mixers, dishes, pots, etc. Now we have a 10x20 storage shed packed to the ceiling with stuff I couldn't get rid of. (about 4 more loads), and a storage shed here at the camp. Still haven't found our dishes. Eating out of paper plates  . Finally got all our furniture delivered and put up in rooms. We have decided that we are gonna give anyone who will listen this advice: Don't wait until you are 65 years old to move!!!!!!! Thank God that we are here and it is almost over. Will send pics of place when I can slow down.
Heard from our daughter the other day . We are going to have a sweet little granddaughter in March. We will see our daughter, Candi, this Thanksgiving because we bought her a plane ticket to meet with us at our sons in Missouri for Thanksgiving. We then are going to fly to Seattle and spend Christmas with her. Going back in March for baby's birth. Frontier Airlines is gonna love us too.

I've been thinking about you and your move. Glad you posted. And yep, amazing what we accumulate, isn't it? So glad that hard part is behind, and that you have these times to spend with the kids all worked out. Enjoy them - and enjoy yourselves.

Wow! what a job you did! Isn't it amazing what we collect over a lifeline?

I thought I tossed out a lot when I moved 14 years ago, but I am working anew to go through the stuff my mother left me and that I didn't deal with before. I do not want to leave my kids with sorting through stuff.

I know what a refreshing and freeing feeling it is to be shed of so much "stuff." Once you've re-nested you can relax and enjoy your new setting. And you have so many exciting things to look forward to! Congratulations!

Hi,

Congratulations on being a future grandmother again!

Happy to hear y'all are getting settled in. I certainly understand about moving after years of accumulation of "stuff". Looking forward to the pics of your new home.

Enjoy your holiday with your family!

Thanks to all my friends. Really looking forward to seeing Candi next week. Haven't seen her since early June when we found out she was pregnant. Keep us in your prayers as we travel down the road.

Good job, Shar!! Hope we get to see more of you and Jim now that you're almost settled. You DID get a smaller place so you could go to more GTG's, didn't you??

Glad everything seems to be progressing with the new little one....keep us posted and of course we want pictures of the new digs and the baby bump!

Thanks Sharon, and my other friends. Will be sending pics of baby bump when I get back from Missouri and spending Thanksgiving with our son, Chuck, and Candi. Pics of the new digs will follow as I get boxes put away and you can see what it looks like.
