Best of luck with the knee - have several friends that have had knee work and all say its the best thing they ever did and wished they'd done it sooner.

Thinking good thoughts Bash. My youngest daughter had her knee replaced one year ago and is doing great.

Just wanted to let you all know that Bash is back in her room and doing fine except for being nauseated. They just gave her some meds for that. They were late starting her surgery----suppossed to start at 1 :30 but it was more like 2:45. Dr. came in a few min after 5 and said he was very pleased with the way the surgery went. He thought he might have more problems but said the knee went together real good and she out to be just fine. She will be here 2-3 days and I am spending the night here in her room. Thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers.

So glad to hear the surgery went well. Like the others, my best wishes and prayers now for a speedy recovery. I have a friend who had both knees done at once - and he wishes he had done it sooner - but doesn't wish the recovery time on anyone. So, I know the next few weeks are going to be hard - both on Bash, and on Fernie - so best wishes and prayers for you, also, Fernie.

glad surgery went well and I hope the recoop goes just as well and then the rehab.
I had a friend that had one done and then the other, it was tough on her cause she
fell during the rehab on the second one and did some damage, so do be careful,
really, be very careful! Sorry, I'm just such a worry wort.

Great news that she came thru surgery in flying colors. Except for being sick to her tummy. That's a nasty, nasty feeling, I know.

Better watch out now Fernie!!! You'll be on the move more than ever trying to catch her shadow.

Happy to hear the news about you, Bash! Now get some rest, then get that new knee moving as soon as they tell you how to do it. My son had knee surgery years ago following a soccer injury, and it's been great ever since. Are you in one of those automatic 'knee movers' they often put you in after knee surgery? Those are amazing machines, and really help keep the swelling down.

It's all over now but the recovery....sometimes tough, but at least the anxiety about the surgery is a done-deal!!

We both got some sleep last night---short naps but at least sleep. They are giving her oral pain meds plus shots. She still has pain but is doing great. She was hurting a little bit ago and I ask her if she wanted her old knee back. She said a definate NO ---she wanted to walk. They will start her therapy today. She is in one of those automatic leg movers and will be while she is in bed here in the hospital. She will not have it when she goes home. She has been doing her exercises in bed already. We are both just glad it is over.
