Let's start our day with a good morning here.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

I arrived here at my private campsite, now with both water and electricity, at about noonish yesterday! It took me literally all afternoon to get things sorted out, brought out from stashing, get hooked up, balanced, (yes, both trailer and my brain!) truck stuff sorted, you name it-----endless stuff from one end of the hauling vehicles to the other! When the kids got home, we had supper, tried to view the video movies of the baby I took, and I tumbled into my bed! It sure felt good to be off the road, although the rocking, lurching motion of trailer hauling persisted as it does when you first get off a boat! I was much too tired to try the chatroom last night---sorry folks!

Today I am having coffee, doing a laundry, and just walking the property, enjoying having nowhere else to go for the moment! I took pics of the full moon rising over the pond last night, and I will get that card later so I can post a couple of pics. It was in the high 70s when I got here, and I brought a cold front with me----it's in the 50s this morning, with a rather stiff wind. Tonight will be the coldest they have had so far, followed by another week of high 70s and 80 degree temps----YAYAYAYAY! Even this coldfront seems warm to me.

Next week I will head over to my house, unpack the stuff I brought for that house, meet with the bug/termite protection patrol guys, and see what the summer did to that place. I know my flowers in the front of the house need cutting and trimming, Goog has told me. I can't wait to ride my bike again, and paddle my canoe!

I hope this will be a good day for you, wherever you may be!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning Soos,

Well, while you are basking down south in the nice warm wather, we up here in the north are basking in teh first snow of the season.

It isn't much, maybe an inch if that. But it was beautiful out there this morning. In fact it might have given me a couple of pictures for making a Christmas card if I decide to do that. And while I was out there, I wandered over to the little lake across the road and took a pic of the sunrise.

Got an email from the lady who owns the resort I am going to next week and she said they got dumped pretty good up there as her dog (Golden Retriever) was up to his underbelly in snow! Also said they lost power for about 4 hours due to the heavy wet snow bringing trees down. I was thankful this morning that we didnt get a lot of snow as it is a wet snow here too and would have brought limbs and branches down as well. And my TT is parked under a big oak that still has leaves on it :o Course it might have been a way to get a new TT

Don't know if I will be venturing out today or not. Might just stay here and monkey around the house. Did give my one bathroom and my living room a good cleanng yesterday and might tackle the kitchen this morning. If i ever get myself out of this chair  Will take the girls for a walk later on today. We did get one in yesterday, so they were happy. They were already bugging me to go someplace this morning, but I said sorry. Roads are probably a bit slick out there.

I'm going to ge doggy sitting on Sunday night. Friends who own the motel by me here are going downstate for a quick visit with family and staying in a motel. That motel will only allow one dog, so they need to find a place for their Golden. I didn't really want to take him as I don't want to doggie sit anymore. My two are getting up in age, set in their routine etc. and this guy is still very active. My two will just ignore him for the most part. But he is a good dog and it's just for one night.

Otherwise nothing new here. Same old. The morning is going by, so I had better get with it before it's time for lunch  Have a wonderful day all.

Sue,
Some computer generated red bows or wreaths hanging on each fence post in the first picture would be extra pretty for a card. Loved all the shots!

Soos, glad you are safely ensconced at your winter destination. Hope your house survived with minimum fixes.

Beautiful pictures Sue, but glad it is up there and not here :) We're supposed to have a nice day in the upper fifties, hopefully without the strong winds we had yesterday.

Soos glad you arrived safe and are settled in, you sound so happy, I think Florida agrees with you.

Well, I got my new iPhone and it has been quite a challenge. It won't accept my wi-fi password here at the house and no one from Apple Care on down on down had a clue. In desperation I called they guy from computer place who set up our computers and he said, oh, you need to increase the security code on your router and told me how but so far I haven't found the web site where I can change the settings so will be calling him again this AM. Other than the glitches I really am amazed by the Siri feature, it is almost scary. You can talk to it and she understands, like if I ask what the weather is in Miami, Fl she gives a weather report, if I ask if there are any good coffee places nearby she brings up a list, if I follow that with any bakeries, she remembers what I said in the first question and will find bakeries.

Wendy if you head to your sisters in Carmel this spring/early summer let me know maybe we can caravan. I want to go west and I LOVE Carmel!

Good thing I called the computer guy, I told him a couple of other things that have happened with our computers and iPad and he said it sounds like our router has been hacked and we have an infection   I got a urgent message from Skype last night saying the security on my computer had been compromised and to type in a bunch of letters to go to a web site...I ignored it but mentioned it to him so he is coming this afternoon.

Good morning to all - lovely pictures of the snow - it is pretty to look at but glad we aren't in it.
It is still cooler than usual here in Vegas and overcast and dreary. It gets to Bill - I know his leg was really bothering him yesterday -
We had lunch with his brother yesterday. His brother is 81 and looks great, he walks 6 miles every day and excerises after that.
He says he wants to leave Vegas - too many memories of his wife here - she died of cancer about a year ago.
Our oldest grandson - 26 - the son of our son that passed away is here in Vegas in the hospital. He was hit by a car Monday - they live in Havasu City, AZ and helicoptered into here. Doing much better than it sounded at first. He is out of ICU and might be able to go home tomorrow! some nasty breaks - leg, ribs and pelvis - and bruises and ruptured spleen ( which they fixed - didn't remove) will have to have help to walk for at least two months. But no casts. No permenant damage thank goodness.
We've mainly been getting stuff fixed - the air bags in Alfie had a leak which the repair man found right away and it was easy to fix - thank goodness. Went to Campging World and got some stuff and to the big electronics store Frys to get a DVD player for Alfie - now hope our son can install it and get it working. Both of us are complete duds in that department.
Hoping to have lunch with a couple of my girlfirends from working days and next week our oldest son and his daughter and her baby will be here for a day. Then we'll be off south.
I'm hopin I didn't make a mistake insisting on using Alfie this year. I love the extra room but unless we have good electricity the air conditioning won't work and it is still in the high 80s down there - phew! Funny thing is - I'm usually warm but I got cold here yesterday right down to my bones and couldn't warm up for hours. Had the heat on, long sleeves and wrapped in a blanket and was shivering. Maybe it was just nerves cause the last few days have been tense.
Enough of that - today if his leg is up to it I want to go to the Bellagio to see the autumn decorations and to the hospital to see Rick and to the swap meet to get a few things.
Everyone traveling take care - hope you have nice weather where ever you are.

Beautiful Christmas card photos, but I also am glad it didn't snow where I am--Southeastern Michigan.

Beautiful pictures Sue but glad it's not here. It got cool enough last night that I had to turn the heat on about 12:00. Our house holds the day time heat so don't have to turn the heat on until it gets into the 30's. I don't like to be turning the air on during the day and switching to heat at night.

The repair people I was waiting on yesterday never did show up and they aren't answering their phone today. They better not be taking the day off. Companies wonder why they can't stay in business but more are like that than not. I crossed the air conditioner company off my list the last time they were here. The warranty is up on that and I'm switching to one of the local companies the next time we need something.

My DH gets up at 4:00 and turns the TV in the living room on so loud that I can't sleep. I tried ear plugs and that didn't work. The only other thing I could find at Walmart was some earmuffs in the gun department. They fit so tight I didn't think I could sleep in them but they work great. I'm sure I'm cute sleeping with them on. If I have the TV in my office on the same program that he is watching I have to mute mine so it doesn't echo.

My computer is doing some weird things. I need to find my jump drive and back up my pictures before it dies. The original mouse quit working and now the replacement is only working sometimes. I don't know if the cats have damaged it by knocking it off the desk so many times. I plugged in the wireless mouse and it works better but sometimes nothing works until I restart my computer. I hate to ask my son to look at it because he changes things I don't want changed. He tell me I don't need that if I complain about something he removed. Wish I could print a list of my favorites because I usually lose them when anyone works on it. I wish there weren't so many crooks out there trying to get away with something. Yesterday I accidentally answered a call from out of our area and it was someone with a foreign accent wanting to send me a new card for senior citizens. He wanted to know the name of my bank. I told him I was old not crazy. Unless it's a phone number we know we let them go to the answer machine. I think one of the greatest inventions ever is caller ID. If they can't tell you who they are they don't need to talk to me.

Loved your pix, Sue, they're all so pretty, any of them would make a beautiful greeting card. I'm hoping to get out of here this year before I see those same scenes in my own yard. Temps are getting really low and we have had a good layer in Nov. in the past. fingers are crossed here that Maggie and I, are out of here when it does come.

So glad you are in Fl. and having a day you don't have to move on, Soos. Looking forward to hearing of all of your adventures this year as last. I may just see you down there too, my daughter lives in Lake Wales.

Martha, I LOVED your phrase, "old but not crazy". I will have to borrow that one :D

Carol, sure hoping that all will be better for Bill soon, so you won't worry so much. I know how you feel, but warm weather and a place he loves, he is sure to be fine soon. Am hoping you will be. Take care of yourself, we're all looking forward to all those pix and dialog on your blog, when you get to traveling again. Mexico is so colorful, brightens everyones day to read your blog.

Day is more then half over, but I feel I haven't wasted this day, as I have others here lately. House is a mess, I have pulled out so much stuff and sorting, but r.v. is getting organized and almost done. I may even have room left in it, time I get what I THINK I need in it. :D

Hope you all are having a great day, most of all Thank you to all of our veterans, think we have some in our group, so want to include them in my Thank you to all of our ARMED FORCES. God Bless them and their families.

Beautiful day out !!!
CArol :)

Those are gorgeous first snow pictures, Sue. Almost makes me wish I was there...for an hour or so.

Had to drive to Ocala today for my mammogram, so stopped at a new laundromat and did a load of clothes. New machines that actually work, and cheaper than here at the cg. Also picked up a few groceries.

I'm planning to get a new Tracfone, but am having a terrible time figuring which one will best fit my needs. Called the 800 #, but the gal who answered had an accent and we were having a hard time understanding each other. She wasn't able to answer my questions. Went to Radio Shack and they weren't much help either. I need to talk to Soos and see what she ended up with. I know she had a time getting what she needed too. I'm looking for one with the most nationwide coverage since I travel all over, hearing-aid capability, bluetooth & speakerphone. Don't really need any other bells or whistles. Their online coverage map shows more coverage for certain phones, but the gal I spoke to said it depends on your home area/phone # how much coverage you get. Don't know what to believe. More research needed.

Very cold & rainy here in No. Calif. One of those days where you just lose all thoughts of getting anything accomplished. Got good news about my RV...they called & said tires, batteries & generator all working fine & no need to service...Relief for me..Can't afford many more extra expenses. Going to leave here around the 20th or 21st & go down south to visit my friend in Mesquite for Thanksgiving. Haven't driven RV much this year so kind of concerned if my skills & most of all concentration will be in tact for this trip. Saw that one of the gals here (name escapes me...but then my memory IS escaping me lately :? ) posted that she had bought a Rand McNally GPS and loved it. My Garmin that I've had for years isn't working well but it did its job for many a year so I can't complain. Anyhow, did my homework and spoke to Garmin...did more homework & ended up ordering another Garmin (dezi 560 LMT)...It's a truckers/RV GPS...from Amazon (who else...even the Garmin rep said to buy through Amazon)...saved about $130 + dollars...Didn't want to spend ANY money but I get lost going around the corner so I knew I needed something to take with me. I will post whether it's as good as my old one...
Time to move on...
Isn't it wonderful that we have the freedoms we all enjoy...Of course that's due to the many who have fought & died for our country....Praying God is protecting & loving all of them...So my flag is hanging outside...It's wet, it's cold & it's windy...but I had to honor our Vets this day...besides, the flag will dry....Wishing all a safe, pain free and happy day..wherever you are...don't forget to say a prayer for our Veterans...............
