Full Moon Tuesday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Full Moon Tuesday Morning

Just got home from work at Amazon and really need to thank Beth for recommending the state park as the place to camp while I'm here. It's 4am and a full moon so I sat along the road leading into the park and watch some young bucks discuss territorial rights and a certain nearby doe. All by the light of the moon. A 10 hour day is long but at least the drive home is beautiful. Also saw a family of raccoons near the road closer to the lake. Walked Gus when I got in then made a cup of tea and fired up the laptop. By 6am I will be hitting the bed. Hope you all have a great day. Forecast for here is really nice so I will try to enjoy it before going to work.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I'm at Fayetteville/Wade KOA this morning! Cooled down last night, but not below freezing! I was warm all night with no heater needed. I had cable TV and WiFi, a fenced yard for Molly to roam and play in. HUGE campground, with many monthly places, and many seasonal places. Also storage for rigs. They have two swimming pools, a clubhouse, and very nhice bath facilities.

Today I could either go 300 miles to Savannah South KOA, or just 234 to Point South KOA. Mandy and I stayed there our first night on the road in June from St.Cloud, and it's an especially beautiful campground. I am thinking I will go there, as I would like to try to see if there is a spot for me on A1A in St. Augustine Beach KOA for the following night, or two. I need a beach fix! And, if I want, I can do the entire 300 miles tomorrow all the way to St. Cloud. Long day today, or long day tomorrow, or beach. Hmmmmm....... Guess I need to make up my mind now.

I hate decisions!

Gotta get on the road no matter what I will do----later.!

Boy, you certainly are the early bird this morning. But looks like working the late shift does have it's advantages. Look at the lovely scenes you witnessed on the way back to the park. The moon, the deer, the racoons. Those things that are only seen in the wee hours of the mornnig when most of us are fast asleep. Photos for your memory.

It's a cloudy morning here and the only thing exciting is a dog staring at me through my patio door  . Well, she can stare for awhile. Not letting her in. Both of them are outside, but Sassy is content to just lay and enjoy the morning. Tessa will lay there and stare inside. Rain is moving in and I want them to enjoy being out while it's dry.

I'm going to be venturing forth in a bit myself. Run a few errands before the rain starts, not that I will beat it back home. But the bookstore called yesterday and a book I ordered came in, so want to go pick that up. Also want to stop by the heating and cooling place to schedule a furnace maintenance call on my heating system before serious heating weather sets in. I have baseboard hot water heat and have it checked over each year. Bit late this fall getting to it.

I took the girls for a ride up to Burt Lake State Park yesterday afternoon. It was a beautiful day, mild and sunny. We walked all over the campground and took the trail that runs along the river next to the park. Was a nice afternoon. Visited with the lead ranger from Otsego who is now the supervisor up there, for a bit. We talked about the park and her hopes, dreams, wants, desires etc. for that park. I do have a job offer to work there next summer and have to chew on that this winter. If I take it, it would be a new park with new challenges, but would also mean a commute to and from home and probably selling my TT and my truck for a couple of years as I wouldn't have time to camp with running back and forth and keeping things up aroound here, plus I would get a better gas mileage vehicle. But then in a couple of years I could get a new rig, retire and hit the road. I want to feel the new boss out at Otsego and see what he kind of has in mind as far as making changes to the way the staff operates for next season too. He says he is letting us come back but who knows. They do not have to keep us around. So things to think about this winter.

Think i am going to make some apple crisp when I get home from town. Have some apples from one of my trees out front and got to use them up. They don't keep forever. Might just have enough to do it. Also got the stuff to make beef stew, but may leave that go for tomorrow.

So I guesss I had better get this show on the road before the rains come. Have a wonderful day all.

I'm having a hard time with sleeping since the switch from daylight savings, woke up at three and couldn't go back to sleep. Oh well I can always nap this afternoon. We're have omelets for breakfast and the dogs are loving it, had some salmon left over so put that in with some goat cheese flavored with garlic and herbs yum! Stop by and share.

Sue you have been thinking about the other job and selling your truck and camper for some time now. Wouldn't you take a big loss by selling, especially your truck, plus the the expense of buying another car, make for an actual loss of $$ overall? Maybe you could get some actual estimates on what they are worth and do the numbers.

Soos you are moving down the road and Horizonseeker is walking in the moonlight. I should have taken a walk when I woke up at three but all the dogs would have barked to go with!

Enjoy your day, I will be waiting anxiously for Fed Ex to bring my new iPhone tomorrow!!!!

Good Morning to All from chilly Las Vegas. It is warmer in Indiana than it is here. We got here Sunday afternoon and are staying at the 1000Trails here. It is a very old park and the spaces are SMALL - The last couple of years in Jennie they didn't seem quite so small. This year we barely have room to park the car.
Got out of Arizona just in time4 - they had a big storm yesterday.
Got our Internet up and running again last night it was a problem with Hughes.Net not our system. Felt stupid when the guy got here and told me to call Hughes and that worked. Oh well. they're going to come back next week before we leave and update the software in satellite dish system.
Today we're waiting for a repair man - we have problems with the air bags - when we stop they leak their air - if it isn't one thing its another.

I saw the moon, but missed those deer - they weren't out yet when I came home after only 5 hours last night. Night before they were all over the road, though. And it is Gorgeous today.

I'm waiting for the honey wagon that is making it's way through the park. Simply want to tell them that I'll be wrapping the tanks when the weather drops - so to work around my wrap around. Don't want them to open it and think they shouldn't dump - just hoping to make sure the valves don't freeze.

Peaches growled at the young man who walked her last night. I asked him to not have his friends walk with him - she is scared of all the strangers, and they keep trying to get her to let them pet her. Today, in front of me, when I told them to IGNORE her, they stuck their hands in her face. Well, she feels I protect her, but probably doesn't feel any protection from the dog walker. I'm hoping I got it all across to them this morning - otherwise Peaches will be back to going 12 + hours like last year. Might be better for her - as I don't want her getting too scared of people after how far she's advanced. I probably should have gotten an adult to walk her, or no one. But he's a good kid, going to try again later this week.

After getting dumped, going to take a ride and enjoy this beautiful day. Hope everyone has a great day, and Soos, sounds like this trip is much less stressful for you. Good to hear.

That state park is beautiful. If you haven't yet, be sure to visit the Corps visitor center over the dam. There is an old log cabin that was once used as a hospital for soldiers.

I woke to a fantastic surprise. The Blue Angels were going to do a practice session for an upcoming air show right over Fort Pickens where I was camped. I packed up the RV and drove out to the fort to watch the pilots' gymnastics over the water. I took some nice photos but haven't uploaded them yet. Once the show was over, I drove to Destin FL to Henderson State Park. Another beautiful cg right on the beach!

OK then----any campground right on the beach sounds like a good one to me. I will have to investigate Henderson State Park, for sure. Which coast is Destin or this park on? I have no map handy, so can't look i up right now. I am looking forward to more camping down here this year.

Soos, both of those campgrounds are in the FL panhandle. I didn't stay at St George's State Park near Apalachiacola, but people I met at Fort Pickens highly recommended it too. I am back in Sarasota staying at Sun N Fun till mid-December. Still firming up new plans.
