SUNDAY AT FLYING J IN PA

Postby Nasoosie » Sun Nov 06, 2011 6:34 am

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Molly and I are cozy and warm in the trailer with the furnace humming, the generator purring, the TV news and weather on, and now need to get moving on down the road. We spent the night at a Flhing J in New Milford, PA, just noth of Scranton. Aiming for Fredericksburg KOA for tonight, if time permits. Otherwise another Flyhing J down the road. Short this is so I can get moving. Hi to all----weather looks great! Later.......
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Glad to see you have started your travels south!!
With the hr change its hard to sleep in so I am up at 5 a.m. instead of 6. I think its suppose to be a nice day so weather permitting i might go out and take a few pictures ( that is if i can stay awake thru the day) Very hard to adjust when the clocks are turned back... Millie is wondering why she hasnt had her breakfast yet... .. LOL

Well have a great day to all of those who are on the road.. ....

You sound great Soos, hope the weather is good all the way to FL!

I have been up for several hours too Christine, I wish they would keep daylight time all year. I have a lot planned for the day so should take a little nap or I'll be drooping mid-afternoon when I need to be awake. I have a 2:00 appointment to do work with a lady for stress, the company she works for is on strike so needless to say it is a difficult time. I took a class in healing touch which is energy based and very similar to Reiki. We learned how to very lightly place our fingers on or near certain spots on someones head and within a few minutes you can see their body start to go into a relaxed position and their breathing become more regular and deep. Works faster than drugs and no side effects, hummm or is that affects?! After that, I'm going to a contra dance and they are always fun, should be good time and good food.

So glad to hear you're on your way south, Soos, Safe travels, hope you have a most enjoyable time on your way down.

Morning Soos and all, Expecting company in a short time. We'll have to go out for lunch, as I have decided not to fix my well, until I return in the spring. Less chance of broken water pipes etc., which I have had plenty of.

Maggie and I, love our new home, one thing about having an r.v. is when things go wrong in the stick house, you can always rely on all the necessities in your r.v. We went and stayed at a local CG, Friday night to fill water tank and dump and do couple loads of laundry (I have a brand new washer, so that hurt). Maggie loved her walks around the park, its on a river and really a nice place. I pass it all of the time going back and forth to town, looks nice from the road and very nice down in the park. Thats the most exciting thing we have done lately :o :(

Kathleen, you're on your way south too, aren't you? Safe travels, hope you were able to get real help with your pain, and its gone now. Maggie and I, will be heading that way soon, think we are going by way of Tn. for Thanksgiving and then Fl for Christmas, with my youngest grands down there. Caroline headed out yesterday too, didn't she? Umm I need to catch up on my reading here

Wishing all a nice day, whatever your doing and wherever you might be.
Safe and Happy travels for those on the road,
CArol :)

Yea, Soos!

No time change here in Arizona, but I would have liked an extra hour! The laundry is still on the living room floor!

We went for a quad ride yesterday and into an abandoned mine I had not been in before. The day was cool and crisp. First time I hadn't shed one of the many layers of clothes before the ride was over - think we were out 4 1/2 hours. Did my blog last night, hit publish and it disappeared!

Church will be at 1 p.m., LeRoy has a friend/acquaintance visiting in the park who is fixing dinner for us at 4. I think Ron plans to give us tips for our travels to Alaska next summer.

Enjoy your day - and your extra hour!

Since my recent stay at the hospital, I can't drink coffee. Another bad habit bites the dust.

Soos - you sound SOOOOOOO much better this trip! Way to go!

I look forward to seeing all that can join us in Florida in January.

Good Morning... the sun is shining and wind is blowing... I remember when I first moved here that I wondered if the wind would ever stop...

Oh Soos you are on your way again am anxious to hear how far you get today... drive safe...
Anita seems fun the adventures in the mines you all have... do you ever wonder how the people did without modern tools... I'll take today...
Have a good day everyone... oh good morning to you Alice you must have posted while I was writing...

Good Sunday morning from central Texas to all. It was great fun to see my DD and DGD! But I will miss being on the road. Two weeks of so much fun exploring the great parks. Actually two months wouldn't be long enough. I've been processing pics right along so hope to post daily to my blog for next few days to be caught up. :).

Next week is Lost Maples. And then soon after over to Brenham before Thanksgiving. It will be a busy month. Thrown in is a doc appointment for my Dad with surgeon. If they decide to do back surg I will go home to help with chores etc. Hoping for good news of laser and not full blown open surg.

Today is a baby shower for DD sis in law. The gender of baby is not known so tricky to buy a gift. I found a blanket with baby giraffe pattern that's kinda cute in tans and browns. That should be safe!

Weather report: drizzly humid air, 70', hope the rain continues. So dry across west Texas.

That's my news. Hope y'all have a great day!

The time change confuses things. I had my part of lunch(turnip greens and sweet potatoes) done for 10:00. My DH usually grills steaks on Sunday. I stopped by the Festival yesterday and got my funnel cake and a crawfish pie. Saved half the funnel cake for breakfast this morning. I think the one I made was better. The square was jam packed with booths and some in the street. More than they usually have but I didn't see anything I couldn't live without, except the junk food. lol When I'm alone it doesn't take me long to go through one of these. They cook the giant omelette at 2:00 but doubt that I will make it for that. I do need to go to Walmart since I didn't make it yesterday. Went off to Lafayette yesterday and it was getting dark on my way home. I try to get myself home by dark and not be out shopping alone.

Macy's has a food processor on sale that I looked at. The kid working in that department was no help answering questions I had so decided to research it on the internet. I never did replace the one I lost in the flood and ever so often I miss having one.

Wish I could have gone to the Ramblin Roses rally this weekend and the Lost Maples GTG. They are a little far for me so saving my trip for the Pink Flamingos GTG near Brenham. So many fun things to do and not enough time.

Ugly and cold here, and looks like we're not gonna have any warm weather for a while. 2 days of it and I'm already wishing for summer. There was even frost on the grass this morning. Sheesh! We don't usually get this cold until late Dec or Jan. It's gonna be cold and wet for the dam (Hoover dam) ride next weekend. Wish I hadn't already commited to it, but since I did I'm gonna have to go.

Still working on getting Hope unloaded and cleaned for the Thanksgiving trip to the dunes. Need to check the weather out there, too. Might not be warm enough to go. There's not much sense in going if it's to cold to get out and ride. Last year it was windy almost all week and only got 3 rides in. Altho it was fun to see my jeep club buddies, I only see them there.

Hope those traveling are having a good trip and those hurting are feeling better!

Good afternoon all. You gals have been a busy bunch. Glad to read that Soos is having a better time traveling to FLA this year. Slow and steady and you will arrive relaxed and safe.

We had a 5.6 (unofficial still) earthquake last night. The center was south of Oklahoma City and was felt in Kansas and Missouri, with reports as far east as TN. It was my first quake and I can say you knew it when it was happening. There have been reports of just minor damage by OKC and thankfully no injuries. No damage in the Tulsa area. Not even shakey shakey, but rumbly, rumbly. It really sounded like a subway train was coming into the station. With the slow, increasing rumble then the fade out as it passed by. I'm glad it was minor.

All you gals traveling, be careful and stay safe (that goes for all of you). Linda
