Vickie, you could have left that comment off. I didn't think there was anyone left that might even know what that disgusting stuff was. my Tn grandmother made it too; fortunately, I did not have to eat it.

Oh those pictures brought back memories of my visit in Huntsville. The park's color in the trees is beautiful. Glad you all had such a great visit with Sarah. She is a great host and guide. No german restaurants this time?

Not this time Nan...though your fondness for a certain one was mentioned. :) We mostly ate Sarah's home cooked soups and chili.... We shopped for food and fresh fruit and the rest is history! (Well there was one trip to Costo for the birthday shrimp.... :D )

I think of hogs head cheese too when someone says congealed. My dad made it but I wouldn't eat it. My younger son likes it, ugh. I make a lime jello salad/dessert ? but I just call it the green stuff.

You shopped with Sarah and didn't get thrown out of any fresh markets? Heck you missed all the fun.

Did you say "thrown out?" Did I sleep through an earlier story of this episode? :o

Okay I stumbled on the "Get thrown out of Fresh Market" story.....   Check out Nan's blog entry for her recent Huntsville visit with Sarah. Apparently Fresh Market doesn't appreciate folks taking photo's of their delicious food/deli items. It is Huntsville :? maybe Home Land Security has banned photos food landmarks..... :o  Apparently they were able to exit the building with only a warning and no money was needed for bail funds...this time. 8-)
