Cold Friday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cold Friday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Fri Nov 04, 2011 6:37 am

Good Morning everyone,

Rather cold morning out there this morning. 21 degrees. Heavy frost too. But supposed to be a nice sunny day.

Beautiful sunrise yesterday Liz. I can see the sunrise from my bedroom window here if I watch for it, but I'm usually busy doing other things like doing this post to sit in there and watch it. I love the sunsets but can't see it from here. Too many trees. But I like you, enjoy taking pictures of them.

Just finished a bowl of cereal and a bowl of strawberries. Now having my morning glass of water. Will get up and going around here eventually. It's still dark out there yet. Got to run a vac over the cleaned carpets and put my den back together as everything is sitting in my spare bathroom. Don't have much in that room anymore except a file, bookcase and table. That room, plus the one bathroom and the other spare bedroom are rarely used. Think it's time to downsize

Otherwise not much on the agenda around here. Do want to clean up my truck bed from a summer's worth of camping. Some wood chips and dirt back there, so going to give it a good cleaning and ready for the tri;p north in two weeks. Will also give the whole truck a bath while it's still warm enough to use my hose. Then put hose away for winter. We are headng for mid November and it's only going to keep getting colder.

Soos is leaving for FL on Saturday. Looks like she is going to have good sailing this year. And she sounds confident and more like a seasoned RVer this year. Safe travels Soos. And Iwish the same for those of you on the road. Hoope everyone has a nice day today. Those with problems, hang in there and remember, this too shall pass.

Good Morning... Good to see you Sue... I have pumpkin pie spice coffee it is good with a bit of milk in it... it is too early for breakfast here... a crispy 35 but will be 58 later... I will go dump the tanks later when it is warm... then clean the motor home so it will be ready for my trip south...
If the insurance authorizes the procedure the doc will inject my spine and hips next Tue or Thur... this will be done in the outpatient surgery center of the hospital... will have to be there at 6am... ugh that is not my time of day... it is so strange that your health is at the whim of the insurance companies...
Such wind and rain we had yesterday... helped the leaves to be cleaned off the trees... those that had cleaned up their yards now have it to do over again...
Time to fix another cup of coffee then get busy here...
I trust everyone has a good day and Soos be careful as you head south tomorrow safe travels... glad you will have skipe to keep up with Orion...
Take care everyone and enjoy today...

No sunrise to see this morning here...just clouds and rain, but it is not expected to last long. It's ushering a cold front in.

Going to my dd's near Tampa tonight, so I can take gs Ben to his boy scout campout tomorrow. I'm not particularly looking forward to that...not a good grandma here haha, but will make the best of it.

Other than a trip to the grocery store for "kid" food, not much else planned for today. I did get out my Texas State Travel Guide that I had sent for, so I can start planning my trip to TX. Hope you all have something more interesting going on.

Good Morning
No sunshine here yet; that cold front came thru here yesterday and tail end of it is still around. Sunny weekend in forecast and warmer. I too enjoyed your sunrise photo from yesterday, Liz.
My cousin has been bugging me for several months to go to farm in TN to help her with a couple of projects and more stuff relative to her fathers estate (15 months and still counting). It is also her birthday and husband has tickets for the AL/LSU game tomorrow so he has other plans. I'm already so far behind on many things around here that a few more days isn't likely to make much difference so I'm going. We will leave in a couple of hours and plan to return on Tuesday.
Tree colors are at peak here now so imagine they may be slightly past that on the Cumberland Plateau where farm is located. Colder up there too. Hopefully between the two of us we can remember how to get fireplace working as she hasn't had propane delivered yet and that may be our only heat source until Monday.
Kathleen, hope you can get your shots and some major relief. It is shameful that insurance companies can dictate so much of our health care these days.
I need to go toss a few things in suit case and get ready to leave.
Wishing al a great day.

Sarah might want to take a peek up that fireplace chimney to see nothing is up there if it has been awhile since someone has built a fire. This is a voice of experience speaking :P

It's fairly warm here but no sun. I went shopping yesterday with my friend who has a good eye for cute things and bargains, came home with some nice finds especially from the one resale shop we like!

Off to check to see if my iPhone has been shipped and then my walk. I think I ordered the phone just in time my old one is acting weird.

No daylight yet, as i am always up way to early.. but its suppose to be a nice day.... Yesterday was nice too... Got alot of outside work done... blew needles off the roof, and hosed down the awning.. This time of yr is always such a mess.. usually takes at least a few times to get things cleaned off.

Trailer is being winterized and put up for the winter.. I was complainting going on on Thanksgiving, but decided not to... I will get new foam for the table cushion this yr, putting in a new kitchen faucet ( goose neck) so those will be my upgrades for this yr....

Those heading south or to your sunny destination have a safe trip..!! Wish i was going to the land of sun too, but never seem to budge out of Washington state..LOL My wishes are always bigger than my money acct..LOL Oh well some day.... it will happen...

Have a great day everyone!!

Crazy Cali weather, 80 and sunny yesterday, chilly and rain today. At least it's not as cold as Sue's and Soos'. Haven't checked the weather yet to see when this will be out of here. Soon, I hope!!

Had my Dr appt yesterday, and as I expected more blood work, so glad I didn't miss breakfast for nothing, and an ultrasound next Thurs. He suspects stomach...if the US doesn't show anything, upper GI, my personal favorite. Probably won't find anything and it's all in my head...either that or that ton of beets I ate worked. Just wondering why I'm so stinkin' tired. I was gonna go to the gym this morning, but the rain is a good excuse to stay home. :D

Kathleen, hope those shots work and can get you pain free or at least tolerable.
Hope everyone has a great day! Liz, have fun with the GS, I'm like you, a little grand goes a long way, much as I love 'em, I just don't have the patience I had as a mom and way to used to being by myself. Guess I'm turning into an old curmudgeon!

Raining down here in San Diego as well. Another day off so just relaxing in bed for now. Got lots of things to do around here today anyways (laundry, bill paying, reading, cleaning, etc).

Also need to go out and get some flea meds for Lola. Found a flea on her last night. I put some flea stuff on her when I first moved in but I guess it doesn't work for too long so need to do it again. :(

Yesterday, I went up to Temecula to get my ears "candled" and all cleaned out. Feels so much better! Then stopped at Salvation Army and got a few more black/white tops for work. Also stopped at the shop I worked at up there to say hi to the girls there, before heading back home.

I updated my blog last week with photos of my hike thru the Los Penasquitos Preserve, and also my hike around a lake near where I work. Take a look if you are interested. Still have to put up pics of my visit to the Self-Realization Shrine in Encinitas. Maybe will do that today too.

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Spent one day and two nights in New Orleans. The day I arrived it was sunny and about 72 degrees but by the next morning, when I planned to go to the French Quarter, the temps were dropping rapidly and the clouds were building and getting darker. By the time our shuttle arrived at FQ, it was raining. Had the requisite Cafe au lait and Beignets at Cafe du Monde, then took a mule/carriage ride around the FQ. Visited the museum and the cathedral, walked around but I was wet and cold. Could not wait to get back to my warm and dry MH. Day before my arrival, they had a shooting on Bourbon St.

Pulled out this morning in windy, chilly weather heading east on I-10. Got off interstate to take the scenic route along the Mississippi coast. What beautiful beaches! Staying the weekend at Gulf Islands Seashores Nat'l Park. Calling for warmer temps tomorrow.

Meandering my way back to Sarasota for Thanksgiving with my kids/friends.
