What a beauty for starting the week. Cool mornings and mild afternoons are forecast for the week. We did have another beautiful sunrise here. Had a great breakfast this morning...biscuit with sugar free Blueberry Preserves. Uummh good. Taste of Austin Coffee. Ready to take on the world once more. Headed into New Braunfels for a little food shopping and will be taking another camper with me.

Good Morning from the land of the wiley coyote, the stealth falcon and the quirky quail, and my new little buddy the antelope squirrell. Sunrise red on the mountains here in the desert...Expecting another hot one...87 degrees yesterday, but cooler temps are coming down into the 70's. Wasn't feeling like anything but coffee for breakfast until I read "blueberry preserves on biscuits" so off to make myself a reasonable facsimile....toast and blackberry jam with coffee (stirred, not shaken), then out to the lawn chair to watch the morning unfold. God Bless All today, especially those who's hearts ache for a season.

Good morning, freezing weather here again this morning. Maggie and I , are counting the days until we can leave here, she sure would love to have a really good walk. Can't here, neighbors, have seen a huge black bear here just recently and he seems to be hungry, one lady had her garage door open, and he or she was in there tearing through all her trash. She got really upset, just describing the incident to me over phone. So no long walks for little Bear bait here. Neighbor across the road, said it ran right through her yard and we're thinking it might be in the woods across the road. Maggie, sticks her nose up in the air and faces that way at times, gives me the creeps.

A person never knows how much they have collected through the years, until you really start going through it. I did know before this I had way more stuff then one person needed. So much I never used. Now I am finally going to shed it all and what a weight it has all been. Just wish I didn't have to wait until spring to really clean it all out here. Unless of course, someone wants to buy this winter, can't really see that happening, but sure would get my butt moving if that did happen

What ever your day brings, hope there is some fun or at least a restful, peaceful day in store for you. Need to get the day really moving around here,

Good Morning... my coffee is long ago gone... am sitting on a heating pad... that does help some... tomorrow AM is one of my Dr appointments... cannot come soon enough...

I kind of like this little park, there looks to be a good area for hiking or walking, but really need to get busy and get going. Had my cereal, walked the Chewmonster, so just need to unhook the power, fuel, and get on the road. Hope everyone has a great day today.

We arrived in Salome, AZ yesterday so now there is a lot of cleaning, etc. to do. Having 2 rigs has some disadvantages. The 5er seems to have survived the summer heat well, but everything is covered in a bit of grit. Enjoying my coffee slowly this morning - don't have to GO anywhere!!

I imagine there will be a desert ride later and I will tear myself away from the cleaning, unpacking, etc.

Good morning from the land of craziness.

Weather-wise, you couldn't ask for better. It's supposed to be in the low 80s, no wind -- the kind of weather people flock to So. CA to enjoy.

As for the rest of the day, it started out with a no-show for parent conferences, fondly referred to by me as he[[ week. I have 30 of them to get done by Friday. So a no-show means prolonged agnoy into next week. Then I got a new kid, which means getting her all set up with books, supplies, etc., as well as giving quick reading assessments to get her properly placed. On top of that we had a "William" inspection show up unannounced. Due to some big ol' lawsuit the state of CA lost years ago, every year they send people around to make sure that all students have the correct textbooks. It's a real pain. So that happened 15 min. into the day. AND THEN ... (it doesn't stop) I had to deal with a new math intervention program & get that up & running for the school (I'm the IT person). All of this before 9:00. Whew! I have 5 conferences after school, then will race home to get Jed out before the trick-or-treaters show up.

So, that's my day. Anyone want to join me?

The morning flew by here. Got to sleep around 6am (got off work at 3:30) and around noon woke up and was still tired but decided it was time to get some things done. Thought I'd be moving to a new campsite tomorrow but noticed someone else was moved into it already. Went up to the office to learn that they had "accidentally" given my new site to someone else. I would gladly stay right where I am for the next 6 weeks except that the least amount of rain makes it a mudhole and I've already slipped in the mud once there. Finally ended up moving to a sight with a lovely waterfront view, a little closer to Molly and Beth and very close to a field for walking Gus. Should have gone back to bed to rest for work but this needed to be done while I had some help around to make the process quicker. While moving I stopped at the dump station to empty since I was nearly full and the honey wagon hadn't shown up. So now it's time to pack up my dinner pail and head to work for the night, but I promise you I will be sleeping very late tomorrow! This weekend I will go around and make some pix to post.

Ah, Laura/Forestgal, you have reminded me why I quit public school teaching 30+ years ago and never regretted it! Too many regulations, administrative duties, and parents.

My son, however, loves high school teaching, and has done so in California for 11 years. Frankly, he is a much more caring and patient person than I ever was, especially since I am getting to be a really grumpy old lady.

Teaching is my passion, but I like my brand of teaching adults online, where I can wear my scuzzzies or pajamas, and get a lot more respect from students. I can also mostly do it when I want to, without having to be committed to a classroom at a particular time and day. (Although I do always seem to be online and grading papers.) When I do retire from my regular job, it will be off in my to-be-motorhome, laptop and wireless connection in tow!

I seem to have succeeded in wasting another day-way too many of those lately.
Last Thursday was the 6 month anniversary of the tornado outbreak around here. News reports said 56% of the homes damaged were still in need of repairs. Mine came off that list on Thursday as roofers finished installing new roof. Such a relief to have that done.

Laura, I should have added that I am VERY GLAD that there are so many good teachers with a lot more patience than I used to have when I taught. Good teachers can make such a difference in a child's life.
