Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Friday Already!

A Good Friday Morning to you all,

Seems like it was just Monday and now it's Friday. Weeks go by fast this time of year. Probably cause we are all busy getting ready for winter, to hit the road south, already on the road or whatever our plans are.

Not much for breakfast here today. Just ate a Special K Meal bar and will have a bowl of strawberries in a bit here. Light breakfast this morning. Stil kind of full from last nights dinner. Made a meatloaf and it tasted so good I had to endulge in a second helping  Gotta quit that. The older I get the less I can eat at one meal anymore but I always overdo it. I know where all this extra "skin" I'm carrying is coming from

Kathleen, glad you made it home okay. Carol, glad you arrived in AZ in good shape despite the snow and such. Those are the perils of being on the road sometimes. Irmi, that's not surprising the number of phone calls your brother is getting for your positoin. There are a lot of people looking for work. Even this past spring, we had 130 apply for jobs at the park, the highest number ever. Christine, those clay Boston Terrier ornaments you made are so cute. You are very talented with the clay.

Heading into town later on here to do some end of week shopping and pick up the stuff I need to cover my shrubs etc. We are getting a bit of a warning from Old Man Winter that he's coming slow but sure. Had a mix of rain/snow twice yesterday and might see some again today. And the days are gradually getting colder. So time to finish up the last of the outdoor chores and then can putter with leaf blowing etc when there is a nice day. Some trees are very stubbornly hanging on to their leaves. I think they will just freeze and fall off

So, guess it's time to get that bowl of strawberries and see what's new around the forum. Have a good day all no matter what you are doing or the day brings.

A cloudy/rainy day here, but I can't complain. It's the first day since I've been here that I didn't see the sun rise out my window. And we really need rain.

My RV looks like a Chinese laundry with clothes hanging all over. The dryer here didn't dry them yesterday, and I had run out of quarters to run them again. No change available at the office either. It's not a good day for drying, but hopefully they will eventually.

I have no appointments to go to today, so Roe and I are going to stay home and eat ice cream like there's no tomorrow.

Everybody hug your loved ones and give all the furkids an extra pat, an extra treat, and an extra walk today.

Good morning from rainy N.C. !!!! We won't get much , maybe an inch, weather people say, so we probably need that amount. The cold is moving in, and I knew that when I woke this morning, 'ol arthur' is having a fit :P  Oh well, he'll be better as I move around, which I sure have a lot of that to do. Selecting what to put in my new home and what to put in yard sale and what to leave up here. I'm taking all sale items, down to cabin and will have inside sale, that way hopefully the house won't look cluttered if someone does happen to look it over this winter. Winter sale is totally unlikely, but I will place it in hands of realtor before I leave. PLan to come back in the spring and try to sell more of this stuff. I'll sure be scrabbling if it were to sell right off :o :) I found a number of things yesterday, wondered why I had kept them :? So I am really happy, I AM THE ONE GOING THROUGH THIS STUFF, my mentality might be in question, by children !! I knew I was a hoarder, not a real bad one, just fill closets and drawers up, now i am paying for it :D

Other then cold, rain and me working, no real news from here, me working may be counted as news though   Have a great day everyone, those on the road, Safe travels, Kathleen, glad to hear you made it home ok. When are you leaving for Fl.? Sharon, are you home yet? Carol, you're in a pretty part of this country, Diana too. Wish this work was all done and I was on the road, soon, I hope. Soos, is it this week end, you're heading to Fl>?

Putting it off, won't get things done here, Take care all,
CArol :)

GOOD Morning from a bright sunny day in Normal after a night of low 30s the temp will be in the high 50s today... my old body is aching awful hips and back think it is the days driving... have my rheumatologist appointment on Tuesday and my regular Dr on Wednesday getting set for the winter trip to Florida... I will not leave until my grandson Tim graduates from ISU on December 17... then will be on my way by at least the 20th...

Liz glad they are getting some rain in McIntosh wish they would get enough to fill the lake... Time for you and Roe and Bandit to relax and take it easy! Give the fur friends a hug from me...

Carol you will soon be able to relax and travel as you please... or park someplace and relax...

Sue those strawberries sound inviting... I am having a slim fast drink... I have a hard time eating breakfast and my daughter suggested I at least drink something besides my coffee...

Have a good day everyone

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL!

I am able to get on here to read and post, but can only read on ORS as I cannot log on there and stay on yet.

We had a heavy frost here last night, temperature got down to 23, and ice is on the rain bucket. But the sun is out, so all is well!

I have been trying to get this poor old slow computer to be able to use Skype, but I guess it isn't about to work, at least not with Mandy's satelite internet connection. My Logitech webcam came with a program to use in lieu of Skype, so she and I will try that after she finishes feeding and changing Orion.

My proposed leaving-the-north-country day is now a week from tomorrow, if possible....possibility being controlled by weather conditions. I will be heading home one more time tomorrow, and come back here on Sunday. One last chance to see if we get enough snow Saturday ight for a cross-country ski before the FL trip!

Lots to do here, so bye bye for now. Wish I could post on ORS, but that isn't happening. Hope the sun will shine on you all today.

Happy travels!

I just got back from bring one of the house cats for her check up. What was I thinking when I told them I would be there at 8:00. I had trouble going to sleep and then DH woke me up about 4:30 cussing the living room tv. I don't know what he did but couldn't get the sound to come on. It wasn't muted so don't know what he did. I finally just turned the satellite box and everything off and back on and the sound came on. I don't know how I got to be in charge of things like that.

My cat weighs 17 1/2 pounds. I feed them weight control feed but she always has her head in the bowl. Don't know how to put her on a diet unless I shut her up in a cage. She needs her teeth cleaned but that's going to have to wait until everyone gets their shots.

I went to Walmart again. I have spent $300 at Walmart this week and there are still a few things on my list that they didn't have. Doesn't do any good to skip a week. I went to Lowe's looking for a large container that my DH wants for the barn. I was looking for a Rubbermaid one and neither store had one. I quit buying the cheap ones because some of them break before you get them home.

The cold front came through about 6 and it rained hard for a few minutes and it was over. It's 63 but will probably warm back up in a few days.
