   Really, only a couple of things to think about....doesn't matter how fast you go up a mountain, only how fast you want to come down w/o setting your brakes on fire, even with a brake controller. Bigger truck=bigger brakes. And of course how smooth it rides to keep Cara comfortable. I have to admit, a guy I know has the GM and it really rides nice. Of course, he has the super duper expensive one, so I guess you also have to figure how many bucks you want to spend.

Drove both the GMC and Ford today, actually like the Ford better.
I am not planning on towing anything large, but is always in the back of my mind ( along with a lot of other junk )

The bigger vehicles also have much bigger price tags - how surprising!

So with all things considered, we bought.....house #1... Oh, wrong show. We bought the F150 Lariat. Rides and handles well and lots of room in the back seat for Carra and her traveling bed. Has a 5.0 engine, big enough for what I need.

You all know I can't do pics but it is " golden bronze " ( I think ) and beige - who knows! We pick it up in the morning!!

Thanks for the input from everyone - all info helps.

Congrats. Just when I was about to post my choice (Ford) I got to the end of the responses and see that's what you got!

I have a Ford for my Class C - and specifically wanted it. Now, after what I just paid at the Ford dealer this week I'm cussing them pretty good - but for a going to be 13 year old vehicle, it got what needed to be done for me to keep her another few or more years. Hope you like yours as much. Mine drives like a dream - another reason I go with Ford.

Congrats on the new pick-up! Sounds like you are happy with your choice. Always been a Ford person myself. Tried a Dodge 'once', and that was enough! :x
