Moving On Again - more

Let's see if I can make some sense today - Spent two days in Saint Louis - visited the Brewery, the Arch (no didn't go up it), walked the waterfront, visited Lewis and Clarks winter camp and saw where the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers come together, drove along part of old Route 66 and visited the Basilica of Saint Louis. If you are ever in St Louis - visit the Basilica - it is unbelieveable. We stayed at the Casino Queen RV Park - in Illinois right across the river from the Arch. Had cable TV and nice space - wide, grass, great view and two $5 coupons for the Casino. And winter rates with Good Sam discount $26. Handy to everything. The casino gave us money for the coupons so we spent it on breakfast buffet. Only weather did not cooperate - cold, windy and overcast.
The Brewery - original buildings were built in 1891 of brick. And they are just beautiful, inside and out. The stables have stained glass windows and marble floors. The brewing building

after the free tour you could have two beers - neither of us had any - I don't like beer.....
this is the neighborhood around the brewery

here's a picture of Arch - during few minutes of clear sky.

Ah, more great pics.

I've been up in the arch - was really nice on a beautiful, sunny day. However, I would think if anyone is at all claustrophobic, it would be a trip to skip.

I like the pic of the confluence of Mississippi and Missouri,.... I have always loved the song "Across the Wide Missouri".... or guess some call it "Shenandoah"....

Thanks for taking us on your tour. I've not been to St. Louis yet...would have been really interested in the Louis & Clark site.
