Interesting Trip to Montoya, NM

Yesterday we went to visit the semi-ghost town of Montoya just west of Tucumcari. Very interesting. Have updated the blog a couple of times, more murals in tucumcari and our visit to Montoya. Of course with pictures. But not of the cowboy.

We are now in Albuquerque at Enchanted Trails Rv - got here early afternoon - didn't feel like doing anything today so planned on visiting Old Town tomorrow. Just saw the weather forecast - crap - thunderstorms tomorrow. In fact we can already see rain off in the distance.

Yeah, and some really heavy wind headed your way, too. Which is why I'm still sitting in Ft Worth area for another couple of days until it blows through. I was raised in Albuquerque and when those winds start up it's nasty! Supposed to be gusts up to 60 mph. Stay safe! Enchanted Trails is where I usually stay, my dad lives on that end of town, about 5 miles from there. Diana is headed that way, too, but probably not for over a week. Looks like we're all going to miss each other.

Interesting history. Enjoyed the pics of what is left of the town.
