Glad you got it settled, and that they give you a deal, too. Have you checked motorhomes list of vehicles to tow - they usually show everything needed with the vehicle. Just in case you can't get an answer from the manufacturer.

Travel safe, my friend, and get yourself well. Soon.

Checked it the other day when I read in the manual about the battery. Doesn't say anything about the battery. Thanks for the idea, tho. Jeep/Chrysler doesn't have a tech you can talk to. The mechanic at the dealer said that they don't even have access to a tech by phone, they have to email them. Go figure. But my guy's on it!

I'll be thinking about you in the morning and hope everything goes ok. If you are going to Ft Worth that isn't all that far from Greenville.

Safe travels Sharon! Hope everything goes good for you, Hope & new sidekick. Oh, I've also got a silver car - love it. Always had white cars (don't show the dirt so easy either) before.

Awwww Birdie, you're the bestI I'm sure I'll be fine, just stressing a little. Probably wouldn't even be doing that if this hadn't been a Murphy's Law trip. If I had been thinking, knowing how this trip has been, I should have just shipped the new car home and not traded in JipJip. Could have gotten more selling him myself than trading in anyway, but I was blinded by that silver color and the price!!! Which is strange, because I've never particularly cared for silver cars. Even more strange, as I just typed that I realized the last 3 trucks that Jack had were silver. Hmmmmm....maybe things are gonna be ok after all.

Better get busy, ya'll have a great day, and thanks for the thoughts, I'll take all the help I can get!

Thinking of you this morning Sharon and sending good thoughts your way, just keep believing that things are going to be ok now, remember the law of attraction.

Made it here just fine! It wasn't as bad as I imagined, which I knew in my heart, just couldn't get that mind wrapped around it! Altho, I have to tell you, 1/4 of a mile from the KOA to the freeway it was good, but almost as soon as I got on the freeway, Hope started whipping around and I'm thinking Oh Great, Just Great! This stinkin' jeep pulls like a tank and is whipping me around like the tail wagging the dog! I already hate it! Then I looked over at the side of the road and the wind is so bad the trees are almost bent double. Whew! Not a jeep problem! So we made it to Lakeside, just west of Ft Worth and my friends were ready for me. Extension cord hooked up and ramps on the driveway so I don't drag my tail going in. Found out why the battery has to be un-hooked, there are electronics still showing even with the key on part way. So that answers that question. Guess I'll get a cut off switch installed when I get home to make life easier. I'll be here until Mon or Tues and then head for Alb. Thanks soooo much for all of the good thoughts you guys sent flying to me, I'm sure it helped!!

Sharon, so glad to hear all is well with your new Jeep and towing it. Like the others said though, get thee to a doctor for your own well-being checkup. Good luck.

Hey Sharon, is there a fuse you can unplug for those other accessories that remain on? That's what I have to do to my HHR and it shuts everything off that drains the battery except I have to manually turn off the auto lights. Just a suggestion.

Glad you made it to your next stop.

Stupid Jeep doesnt' put the manual in the car anymore, you have to call and have it mailed to you. They only give you a small starter manual. Don't even know where the fuse panel on this one is, but when I get home I'll check it out. Don't know which would be more of a PITA, the battery cable or a fuse. Drove it to Camping World in Ft Worth today, loving it more and more the more I drive it! Used the Nav system in it and it took me right there. I still can't get over how much more comfortable the seats are compared to the old jeep.
