Some more Tucumcari murals

Postby asirimarco » Sat Oct 22, 2011 1:07 pm

There are 35 murals here in Tucumcari - don''t know how many we'll get to see. some are inside buildings. But the first two in todays blog are some of my favorites.
Today is Bill's birthday - he's 75 - where has the time gone? Tonight maybe we'll go out for dinner. The weather is beautiful here. Typical desert cold at night and warm during the day.
I wish I could get better pictures of these murals especially the long ones. So much work.

I love all the murals found in so many towns now. Glad to see the pics you took - and don't you worry if they aren't what you consider the best - I love them. And you just gave another reason I wouldn't stay at a KOA if there is ANY other choice (including boondocking). I know, I know, there are some good ones. But for the price, love where you are - at almost 1/2 the price!

looks like a interesting place to linger for a couple of days! thanks for posting the pictures...is driver's leg bothering him from his heart surgery? DH had a bone fused years and years ago that was his main complaint after the surgery they took something out of his leg for the fuse...but can't remember after his bypass that being a problem but that has been 15 years ago...Enjoyed the murals....have a quite day tomorrow and we will look forward to the next stop

Really enjoyed the murals. Happy birthday to Bill, albeit a day late!

Nice pics, I like the way you have your "toad" painted to match your Alfa!

I grew up in AZ, so I thought you meant Tucumcari AZ, near Tucson. That's an old hacienda/mission museum, worth a visit if you happen to be driving by.
