ooooohhhhh my, GF!!! Greenville, will be looking for you every year from here on out! Why don't you drop down here and meet up with us down at Lost Maples State Park Nov 9 and 10, on your way west???? It will only make you another 10 or 11 days out. It will be fun and you can try your new car out in a really nice spot.

Looking good. Enjoy and I hope that you get that thang fixed up to be towed but if it takes a little longer, us sistahs down here will help you spend your time rambling around.

Sharon - and you say I'M THE ONE who makes you spend money! How come every time I go away for a few days all the exciting things happen on the forum? Now I get what your link might have been!

I can hardly wait to see this silver streak in person. Congratulations! Glad you found a great dealership. Not all car salesmen are bad (my Daddy sold cars when he wasn't racing) and it sounds like you found a winner. You won't terrorize me off road with that baby! You won't want to scratch her. Are you soliciting names? How about Bullet Girl, Silver Bullet, Silver Toad - okay, okay, I hear ya.

I would LOVE to, Birdie, but I need to get home and get the toy ready for the sand dunes for Thanksgiving. Plus I need to set up a Dr. appt to see if he can find out just what in the heck is the matter with this poor old bod. Things still aren't right and I'm tired of feeling like this. Sure am gonna hate missing all ya'll.

As much as I'd like you to spend time with the ladies, right now I really want you to get home and see your dr and figure out what ails you so that we can all see lots more of you in the future!

As to me - I'll be in the sw by the end of March/all of April. Hopefully we'll be able to get together somewhere - maybe have a gtg somewhere with a bunch others - but you know me and how I travel. After I leave TX, as of now, I don't plan to PLAN anything until the drive to AK in May. But for a gtg, well, maybe :)

Got the word yesterday....Base plate will be in Thursday instead of today. At this point I'm not holding my breath. I wouldn't be surprised if I spend Thanksgiving with my cousin here in Greenville. sigh.

Thats a real beauty, Sharon.
I agree with you and Beth about getting to doctor as soon as you can. We need you functioning at full force to enjoy all your new toys and keep the rest of us entertained.

DITTO, Sharon! Get thee to a doc ASAP! It's been a long time you have not felt well. Find a reliable, supported-by-your-health-care-provider right where you are....no more putting this off! Nasus has spoken!

Sorry Soos, not possible. My insurance is only good in California unless I'm hospitalized, and that's not gonna happen with 2 furbabies in the house. Making tracks for home as soon as I get the car. It'll be a slow trip, tho. Don't think I can do those 6 or 700 mile days right now. I don't think I can change my insurance until next Oct when open enrollment happens, but it's something I need to do.

Do ya'll remember my post...And The Drama Continues? I thought that the drama demons had left after I got so sick in La, but evidently they were just out to dinner. Things haven't changed. Got to the dealership to pick up the new car and the first thing Joey says is..we have a problem. I'm ready to just demand my money back and leave town. It seems that the salesman gave the money guy the wrong car info. He gave them the vin and info on the car they had that didn't have the stuff I wanted on it. So all of the paperwork had to be re-done, insurance company called and changed etc etc etc ad nauseum. At least Joey caught it here and not after I got home. Or I got stopped. Or wrecked it. The good news is that for all that I went thru and stayed calm, didn't pitch a hissy fit, didn't stomp my maryjanes, pulled up my big girl panties and dealt with it calmly and with dignity, they gave me the base plate and install for 160 bucks versus the 900 it actually cost. Joey spent 2 hours with me explaining all of the electronic crap in the car, most of which I don't remember, and spent time on the phone trying to get some answers for me that Jeep couldn't answer when I called them this morning. I truly didn't feel like they threw the car at me and kicked me out on the street. So now she's parked behind Hope, waiting to get hooked up to her new big sister and get on the road tomorrow. Prayers please that all goes well with that. I'm really nervous about it, even tho it's not totally different, same principle, but different enough that I'm a little edgy. Plus I can't use my auxillary brake until Joey finds out if I can tow w/o un-hooking the battery. sigh. His head mechanic said there wasn't any reason he could see why it had to be un-hooked, but none of us wanted to take the chance w/o jeeps ok. or not. Wish me luck in the AM!!

I guess I have gotten behind on here, Sharon. I didn't realize you still weren't feeling up to snuff. That 'only in California' insurance doesn't do well for a traveler, huh? Anyway, wishing you an easy time from here on home. Did you by chance get on RV.net and ask about the Jeep battery? 'Course you might get conflicting answers there! Stay safe!
