In my latest online AARP magazine there is this wonderful story - gives a lot of history, too - somethings I didn't know - from a perspective different than normal. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did:

I cried at the end, too. And I was very surprised about Kennedy re the story of Sammy Davis, Jr. Funny, that Johnson was more excepting than Kennedy - would have expected the opposite.

Sparkle and others - when you click on a link in the forum - right click on the link and select to open it in another window. I have tried to change things in the back end to have that happen automatically, but so far have not been able to do so. Will have to work more on that - but for now, either the back button - or right clicking and selecting that option - is the way to go.

I read it in AARP too. Thought it was so touching and sad that his wife didn't get to see the outcome.

Thanks for the link, Beth. Really nice to read of something good for a change. I felt really bad for him his wife had passed before the big occasion.
