I'm not home yet, have been informed in fact not to go home this week. My nephew is to go to my house and do those repairs he told me months ago he would do., but he really is going to this week. Its going to rain, so how he can do some, like my decks, remains to be seen. I'm hoping though. I'm in earnest about getting it cleaned out, and on the market and everything turned off, before the holidays or at least before Christmas, would like to be in Fl. with my youngest grands then.

I'm on a library computer, so won't make this long, just wanted to check in and I am really loving this new home of mine !!!!

Glad to read everyone seems to have gotten home alright too. I will post as I can, as I make my way home. What a great GTG, minus the ants of course, what a big pain, and I hated they were in my new rig. Oh well, hope they are gone and I am not dropping them off in each state I go through, if that can happen, I am not the only guilty party :D

Safe and Happy travels everyone, and yes, you all will be seeing me on the road, hopefully a lot very soon.

Carol, next time I see you... I'd love to see the inside of that new rig.. without ants of course. We did a mini rig tour at last minute... of those that were left. I think I drooled on everyone's rv as there was something about each and everyone of them I really liked.

Drive safely...

Made it to Greenville Tx about 3 today and have had dinner with my cousin at Cracker Barrel. What a beautiful ride on Hiway 82 thru Arkansas. Good road, not much traffic and lots to look at. I was sorry to leave it and get on the interstate. This from the interstate queen! :D When I got here, I walked around the front of Hope and guess what? The windshield was crawling with ants! Have no idea where they were hiding on the trip here, but they seemed happy to be out in the open. Rather than name them like Alice did, I chose to annhilate them with ant spray. Do I feel guilty? Nah, not a bit! Beautiful park, but the ants were just a bit much to deal with.

I have some photos to post, but just to tired to do it now and tomorrow we're going to the state fair in Dallas. I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Sure hope Verizon doesn't cut off pdanet, but I'm sure they will follow Sprint and do so. Supposed to have wifi here, but my pooter won't recognize it for some reason.

I headed out intending to go to Hot Springs for an A&C show but decided not to miss my little niece's birthday party on Saturday so here I am back at home 2 days early. Rudy was happy to get back to his sidekick, Lucy. I enjoyed my stay, tho short, but BJ beat me by a few hours, great bunch of ladies and I will see you another time. My daughter will be home in a few days, then I will leave again this time going to the Smokies, then on to SC to see my brother. After tonight the bail money might be called on as this is casino night. Sharon seemed to be especially eager for this  Good luck to all :D

It was great meeting you. Looking forward to meeting up at other GTGs.

I made it home by 4:40 pm on Sunday afternoon. Had a great time meeting old friends and making new ones.
As soon as I edit my photos, I will post some for all to enjoy.
I will finish reading forum post tomorrow evening. Now off to bed I go, some people have to go to work in the morning. :D

I wonder if the ants we had were the crazy hairy ones, gees, that is a scary thought if they are being taken all over by everyone who visits the park! They didn't start coming up my electric cord until sometime Wednesday night but maybe they were coming in other places that I didn't notice. SO far I haven't seen any inside. Did anyone mention it to anyone at the office? I didn't get mosquito bites but had a couple of other really bites that still look bad. Sorry I missed the walk through would liked that, I did get to tour Carols new home as I left, no wonder you like it so well it is a beauty.

Re sprint and pdanet tethering... it might be a problem with my cord.. and not sprint. Even though sprint made a nasty policy change on October 2nd that puts a cap where there was no cap before.... pdanet might still work as it did before.

After reading a ton of stuff... sometimes the tethering will only work properly with the -original- cord that comes with your phone. I didn't bring my original cord...so I can't test out this theory til I get home.

This morning, I looked for my pet Arkansas Ants... (Blackie is my favorite).. and I think they ran away.

I think I overheard someone say that that arkansas park was aware of the ant problem but due to environmental and people health issues, they don't spray. Either that or I dreamed it. I did notice that folks that have obviously been there before, brought gallons of ant spay with them and used liberally. The ant spray I borrowed from Sharon worked.. I just didn't use enough of it. I think it something I am going to keep on hand from now on though.

I look forward to seeing everyone again!

Hmmm. Park doesn't spray because of "environmental" and "people health" concerns but they have to know people coming in are going to spray to control the ants. I mean who can afford to have ants crawling all over their rigs, biting them, and carrying them elsewhere. So seems like the park taking care of the problem would be a lot more environmentally and people friendly conservative than having all kinds of different unaccounted for pesticides sprayed everywhere, wouldn't you think?
