Another Beautiful "Fishing" Day at NAS Corpus Christi...

After a wonderful day of sunshine, warm temps., and fishing I'm sooo ready for bed, but wanted to post photos of the day for you to enjoy...

We started fishing this morning about 9AM on a little pier close to the campground office....

The guys enjoying the day around Noon after lunch....

Then we moved to the BIG pier where Donna caught a "Ribbon Fish"...we had to throw it back, but took a photo first..

While on a dinner break at the camper took this photo of the sunset.

Then we went back to the BIG Pier for some night fishing....
Ernie and his BIG catch of the day..... :lol:

I caught a 15 inch "Sea Trout" and Donna did, too...after dark....
We also tried to do some Crabbing, but no luck at that....

what is that little fish ernie has lori? it looks like it has wings!

i enjoyed crabbing when i was in AL, lots of fun to pull up the baskets and see what we had,...

yea, what kind of fish is that Ernie caught? a butterfly fish? did you eat it?
That ribbon fish was cool, never saw one of those before, guess I need to do
more "research" :lol:
Love the pictures you share, its the only time I get to go fishing :lol:

Hmmmmmmmmm - the winds have calmed down - I'll just bet none of you were out fishing this morning. But I'm so glad you have been having so much fun. And, yep, there are many different fish here. I don't pretend to know the ones I'm used to - let alone all these -

The pics are great Lori. Two fish I have never seen, the ribbon fish? and whatever that is Ernie caught, it does look like its ready to fly, if it could get off his hook. Keep posting, I am cold up here and love seeing your pics with sun shining and you'all in shorts. Rain and cold here and maybe snow before the week is out, so I love your pics !!!!

Looks like what we called 'sea robins' up here on the northeast coast, when I was working on a charter party-fishing boat. But in TX, must be some tropical 'brand' of the same kind! Actually, quite pretty, but do they have dangerous spines?
