FL JANUARY GTG

I'm trying to figure out how to make reservations. If I can't do this, we'll get to the next GTG.

Irma....have you used Reserve America or what ever system that FL uses before. The same systems handles for multiple states...... Hope that helps..... I just ask them to resend a password because I never remember them between travels...

I also had a very difficult job getting reservations. Never could get reservations by computer. I called the number and waited 20 mintues for someone to answer the phone.

I'd wait till daytime and try calling the cg directly. I've never had trouble making reservations on their system, but from what you are saying sounds like they must be having some problems. Give it a couple days and try again. Sure hate you missing it if you can make it. But first, get through the holiday weekend and call - on Monday - when there should be people in the office easier.

Sure hope you can make it, Irmi, but I sure do feel your frustration! I so hate sites that make doing anything so frustrating that you want to give up. I would try calling the campground, as others have said. As far as I can see, there should still be plenty of room in our circle. Last year when I tried to make reservations online, I signed up for a campsite, then freakd out when I discovered they wanted me to pay it all right then, rather than a deposit! So I clicked off, then, when I thought it over and transferred some money, I tried again. They said the site I wanted was taken, which it WAS---by me!!! But, they made me pay extra for changing sites. Sigh----I had much better luck this year as I had no surprises! Hang in there!

Ok, I have calmed down and called the number and was able to talk to a real person. We are reserved Jan 9 thru Jan 16, Site # 19. I originally asked for site # 14, but it can only accomodate up to 24 ft. We'll be leaving for Wandering Oaks on the 16th. I can't wait to see everyone! I apologize for being so disgruntled Saturday.

I hate those online reservation sites. I put a site in once and accidentally got out of that page without putting the pay information. When I went in it showed it reserved and wouldn't let me get to it. I had to wait til the next day for it to clear because it wasn't paid for.

YAY! I hate to think anyone would miss a gtg because of a computer system ... That said, I sure understand the frustration. Sorry I'll not be in FL, but so glad you will be there with such a good group.
