Hello from Silsbee, Texas

Come on in and say hello.

Hello from Silsbee, Texas

Postby Karen » Wed Oct 05, 2011 9:27 am

Hello,

I am 62 years old and retired. I have been widowed 5 years. I have two sons and two grandsons. I love to travel and my explore in my 34 foot motorhome with my dog, Pepper. Other interest are sewing, quilting, needlepoint, cross-stitching, knitting. Outdoor interest are walking and would like to try kayaking.

I look forward to chatting and discussing traveling and RVing with all of you. Hopefully, I will meet up with some of you on the road and/or a GTG.

Welcome to the forum. If you click on the Forum Member Map http://www.womenrv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6117, you will see that there are a number of us near the San Antonio area. If you either PM Mitch or VickieP or put a new post on the Forum Member topic, they will add you to the map. It is really nice to know that we have sistahs located all over.

Tell us about your motorhome and Pepper. We love to see pictures.

Hey GF welcome to the other side. Will expect to see you and Pepper at the Pink Flamingo Flocking in November. Hugs on that Pepper for me. Hope we have lots of rain soon so we can have a campfire to gather round.

Hi Karen,

Very happy to welcome you. Now, I am no longer the newest member. I also enjoy walking and cross-stitch. Are you working on a project now?

'Bout time you got this done! LOL! Welcome, welcome! Girls, I met Karen in LA and she's so much fun! Between her and Carolyn (CPatin-Jones), I never stop laughing! Glad to have you join us, Karen!

Hi Karen! Welcome to the forum. You'll fit right in here. You already have your motor home and the freedom to use it! I'm in beautiful downtown Utah, so it's unlikely I'll get to those Texas GTGs. But if you decide to travel the West ...

I, too, am widowed and and travel solo in a 35-foot motorhome, dragging a car behind. My navigator is my blind (!!) little Lhasa and we do the volunteer circuit, trading work for hookups for at national & state parks & wildlife refuges.
