FL JANUARY GTG

OKEY-DOKEY!

Shirlv has had to cancel out of this GTG, so JoanE has taken her spot, #17. I simply do not have the patience to try to fix the map to reflect this change, so just take notice, please!

Take a look at this campsite, then decide if you would be able to make it. Also, there are two loops of campsites from which to choose. The sites look nice and big and shady and will allow for big rigs. There is a ton of stuff to do while there. I have chosen the week of January 8 through January 16. Alice is booked for site 9, I have site 11, Kathleen has site 12, Pete has site 16, GentlebearNan has site 13, JoanE has site 17, gjkl has site 15, Linda has site 18, Wendy has site 20, Irmi has site 19, BJ has site 10, Sunshinecruiser has site 21, thus far. These are all in the left-hand loop. It looks as if we could take up nearly an entire loop of sites, if all those who will be down there will be able to attend! (Note....one site I looked at was a short one, but most all are surely big enough for the longest of the big rigs.)

The dates are anywhere on or around January 8 through January 16, 2011. Feel free to come earlier, stay later, or come for a few days in that time span so we can meet you!

I know Liz will not be there for January, and we will miss her, but I think that would be a good time to try to meet.

I like the January 9 through January 16 dates, and I know I like the campsite as I have been there....without my trailer to camp, but I went swimming there and walking.

If I don't hear any complaints from anyone, I will book me a site on the left-hand loop by Wednesday. You can all be responsible for booking your own sites. Whoever can come and gets a space, we will see each other there!

I just hope everyone sees this post in time! I have not been able to log on and stay on the ORS site since this morning, so someone may need to pass this word somehow to them.

I have already reserved my site. Site 9 arriving a day early on Sunday, the 8th...departing the 16th. Glad this park was suggested....as it will be closed next summer for repairs.. for two years.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This facility will be closed from July 9, 2012 through July 1, 2014.

If the dates need to be changed in order to accommodate others, by all means please do so and I'll change my reservations as needed.

Hey, this sounds like a gtg that I might actually be able to attend. It looks to be about 180 miles from where I'll be in Folkston, GA. Will have to wait till I see my work schedule for that week. Put me down as a definite maybe. Would love to meet up with you ladies.

I am booked into site #11 from Sunday, January 8 through Monday, January 16.

So far, we have Alice in site 9, and Nasoosie in site 11. Sign up when you can and while sites are still available! By the time I get there, I may be able to prove I pay taxes in FL and have a home there and will try to get my FL residency card for a geezer/resident discount!

Most of you are probably already familiar with Wekiwa Springs SP, but I wanted to check out the camping area since it has been so long since I was in this park. I drove up to the park after work today. Arrived around 6:00 pm so I had a good hour int he park. We have to back in to the camp sites, but they were spacious. I also checked out the spring. It was picture postcard lovely.

Now, I cannot wait for January and the GTG. Looking foward to meeting everyone.

I love to see someone new not afraid to jump right in. Sometimes people think that the gtg groups already all know each other - well, only way that happens is because they all jump in at some time. Will your sister be joining you.

And, I sure wish I could make a stop in FL before I head to TX, but not to be this year. I'll live vicariously through all of you for this one.
