Oh yeah .. I really feel like the queen of the castle. We never really used the SUV for sleeping except 2 nights when I was too tired to drive further up the road to a motel or have the energy to pitch our tent.
This RT I know I am going to enjoy for years to come. I would have preferred a permanent bathroom ..but no complaints .... the next 2 - 3 years will be part time .. so does not bother me much.

I am sure i am going to have a lot of fun. Planning to take her out in 2 weeks to Locust lake in PA and then Savannah, GA in winter.

Wow.. so many warm wishes .. nice to meet all of you.

Ann

Lori and her hubby are workamping outside Savannah for the winter (already there). I'm sure you'll be able to meet up.

She's a beauty. You did good taking advantage of finding one when it became available. Really nice looking rig inside and out! I agree about getting rid of the carpet....I would like to do that to mine. I know you will enjoy making it yours. Too bad you have to winterize!

Yours looks beautiful too.I fell in love with the RTs and decided that is what I wanted. I was sort of leaning towards the 210s but when this came along jumped on it. The couple who owned it were such nice people .. the gentleman pointed out every teeny, tiny little scratch on the bumper and explained how he got it and the price was so reasonable for the mileage. I saw others that were at least 10 - 15 k more for the same year and similar mileage. Got a pre - sales inspection done. It was sort of meant to be.

I saw a DIY on the flooring .. not sure if I could do it but then the RT floor space is so small. I know I bookmarked it. Will find it and post the link.

Yes!. My son and daughter will be with me. My son is leaving for Afghanistan right after his trip home in December, so this will be a family trip before he leaves and my daughter's school break is not until Dec 22nd. So will be from 23rd through the end of December.

I got my new temporary license plate. I have to take her in tomorrow and do the safety and emission, after which I plan on personalized plates.

She drives like a dream but for the first few minutes I was holding on to the steering for dear life and felt a little foolish. I decided why not really test her .. so drove all the way into DC through the toll road right up to the capitol building and drove back via the White House. With all that crazy traffic in DC and the beltway, I figured if I could drive through that and get back home to my northern Virginia suburb in one piece and sane, I could drive anywhere. :D

I got flipped the bird a few times but who cares. I guess I was driving slower than normal and there was so much construction work near the monument .. of course I am going to drive slow .. didn't want to scratch my baby either.

Hey Ann,

If you can drive through DC (you're a MUCH better person than I am, by the way), follow the signs to 50 east and go across the Bay Bridge and let's have a GTG! Think about it!
