Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday, Sept. 28th

Good Morning ladies,

Hope this mornng finds you all up and at em and getting ready to start your day. For those of you with health issues, I hope this day brings more improvements and for those of you on the road, the lovely weather to travel in. As to the rest of us, we will have to deal with whatever the day brings, whether it be sunny or rainy.

I just had a very shocking email in my box this morning from the lady who was our campground host at the park this summer, telling me that her mom died suddenly yesterday. Apparently she was exercising at home and died in the position she was exercising in, so they figure it was instant. I met this lady in August when we were all camping at Interlochen State Park and found her to be a lively, so full of life person. So I am glad I got to meet her anyway. That has to be a shock to the family. Guess they spent about 3 hours in the apartment yesterday going through paperwork to see what needs to be paid, who to notify to shut what off and what child is getting what etc. So they have a long road ahead.

We are going to be pulling our huge floating fishing pier out at the park today. No easy feat there as that thing is huge. About 60 feet long and 8 feet wide, each section being about 20 feet long. We need an end loader with a lifting capacity of 3600 tons to lift the one section on the beach back from the waters edge, so you know we are dealing with a big mammoth, heavy pier. The other sections will be taken apart one at a time and floated over to our boat launch, hooked up to our park truck and pulled over into the parking lot for storage. Each section has wheels for that purpose. Getting the pipes and pins out is the hardest part.

I have two more days to work after today as far as this camping season is concerned. Then am planning on going camping myself for a few days as we are going to have some Indian summer weather this next week. This will be the last trip for this year as it will be time to put the trailer away for the winter. The following weekend is our park's HalloweenFest, so will be returning to work for three days there. After that it's time to start getting ready for winter around here. Yard work is done except for the leaves which have to come down yet.

So that's what's going on at the 45th right now. Pull up a chair and tell us about your day. Can't offer coffee here as i don't drink it and don't have any in the house, but I do have tea and Orange juice. Soos, no baby yet?

Have a nice day all.

Good morning Sue and everyone! I don't usually post on the forum although I do log on from time to time to see what's happening. It is strange to see the summer wind down, the leaves changing, and all our plans and daily activities taking on new directions. I am sorry to hear about that sudden death - that is so frightening, and very similar to Kerry Kennedy who also died while exercising. As I mentioned on the ORS site, life is very fragile, and I guess we just have to live every day to the fullest.
That being said, I am going to get myself moving and do something constructive today instead of sitting in front of this computer waiting for someone to email me!!

Hope you have a beautiful Indian Summer trip Sue. I'll look forward to your pictures.

Today I'm moving farther south on the Natchez Trace into Mississippi. I will be checking out a COE cg tonight. Hoping to get a site on the water where I can launch my kayak. If so, I'll stay there a couple of days to do that.

There are 3 or 4 places on my route today that have short hiking trails, so Roe will be happy and I'll get frequent stretch breaks.

See you later.

GOOD MORNING SUE, CAROL, LIZ AND ALL.

How shocking to find someone you love dead in place, especially while doing somethig that was supposed to make her healthier and live a longer life. I feel so sad for that family and for those who knew the woman, but I suspect she didn't even realize that death took her---hopefully, anyway. Good to hear from you, Carol. And I am looking forward to more pics and words from Liz as she travels on. Sue, I am hoping your last camping trip of the season will be the best!

Partly sunny summer-like morning again, with no wind and warm temperatures. My stay here has been blessed with terrific weather for camping, if one can call living in my house-on-wheels camping!

Mandy's weekly doc appointment is this afternoon, and last night she asked me f I would drive her there this time. Does she know something she isn't telling me? I will take her there, pick up a prescription for me at the local Kinneys Drug Store while there and, perhaps, if she is feeling good enough, go to WalMart to get some more basinette sheets and more crib sheets. The house is looking neat and tidy and clean, and the baby's room is ready and waiting....and waiting is what we all are doing now!

The red squirrel is hard at work scurrying around, getting tons of pine cones he has previously knocked off the tall trees in this yard, and running them to his private winter stash in a woodpile near the garage. Molly is drooling as she watches that activity!

The hunter who shot Hope finally realized that his bear meat for this fall was a yearling that was world-wide famous, and he emailed Doc and Sue, the researchers in charge of the study, explaining the events surrounding her death. I have nothing to say about baiting and luring animals to a kill zone because it makes my blood pressure rise and my blood boil. At least she will be consumed, as that hunter eats his prey and does not waste it. I guess we should all be happy she is not just a dead trophy hanging on some wall somewhere. But happy is far from what I am.

Coffee is ready, so stop in and let us know what you plan to do today----no plans are too mundane to read about! It's frog-hunting time for me and Molly this morning, as we walk around the ponds. Safe travels to all those on the roads.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Happy mid-day of the week to all. I am sitting in Oklahoma City this week. Am working on a friends computer trying to get it to do what all we want for it to do. Will meet former co-workers for lunch today. Will work on another friends computer this evening. Then I am hoping that my computer work will all be successful and I'll be thru with that work of love.

Just had e-mail with some other co-workers, one is a full-timer, and we will meet for breakfast Saturday morning. Looking forward to that. I always enjoy getting together with my friends of long standing as well as my new friends.

Liz, glad you are investigating those COE cgs. I know we will get good reports from you and they will have nice pics. Be safe on your journey. Oh, yes, give Roe and Bandit a hug from me. I miss seeing those two.

On the road ladies be safe. All have fun today.

Bad Tina here :o .......just a reminder to Sue that the "morning kitchen' is imaginary so that there is always coffee and good stuff available to all comers. All you need to do is open the door. 8-) ...no calories or nothin' in these blueberry bagels with creme cheese. (Not like those foods on a cruise ship  ) Sort of like the all day/night "campfire" with the hot tub and heated swimming pool near by....next to the woodshed complete with the supply of beer and slightly hidden bottles of chilled wine. Just saying. :)

Groan... mechanic took power steering pump out, said he'd be back next day with replacement.
Call him yesterday, he's got replacement at his place, is replacing hoses etc and will be over shortly.
Then he calls back, his brother's gone bonkers again. I'm stuck in the parking lot again....

Meanwhile - surprise! The major project that was going to happen some time this semester has started. I've been blissfully unaware.
Aaargh! Mucho stuff not ready. Scrambling.

Sue, how tragic about your friend. I take it she was a dedicated exerciser but I encourage all of you who haven't done so, before embarking on a strenuous program to get a thorough physical. I thought I was having heart symptoms but I passed all the tests (a miracle with my family history, I give my quitting smoking many years ago and my almost daily glass of red wine, credit)
Soos, I know the wait is hard for you and Mandy but he will be ready when he's ready, as they say. Have they suggested breaking water or anything to start labor? Some doctors are adamantly against, while others routinely do this. One of my stepdaughters spend almost her entire labor in a jacussi (spelling)? which sounded so nice, better than a hard table. She liked it.
Annie, this is getting old but you seem to take these problems better than I would. I think it might go on the for sale lot after repairs are done if it were mine. But then again, after you have done so much it might be problem free for years. Life is like playing the slots, that's why I don't gamble at casinos. I gamble everyday especially with a new business we're trying to grow.
Some of you are so good at recall of the posts. I probably missed one or two, sorry if I did. I tried to go back but then came back to empty space so started again. I should have saved in drafts, I know  :?
